Chapter Nine

When it came to their afternoon classes, the teachers had her be in the back again just so she wouldn't 'distract' other students with her appearance. Reina couldn't see or read anything off of the board and even stated such only to be waved off as she realized that the teachers were being rather racists towards her being demonic. When Noctis and her got home she didn't even say anything to her mother or King Regis she just went straight to her room.

Noctis felt bad for her knowing that she was having a hard time in school because of the teachers singling her out. When Regis and Mari spoke with the young raven haired male about what was going on Noctis looked down upset.

"Reina was treated like crap by the teachers, they singled her out and had her sit at the back of the class. I've had to give her my notes for our classes just so she wouldn't fall behind." Noctis said sadly

Mari couldn't believe what she was hearing from Noctis and looked at the king. "May I take the children to school tomorrow? I wish to speak with all of their teachers about how they are treating my daughter."

Regis nodded his head. "Of course, I don't see why not."

Mari then looked at Noctis "Did Reina go up to her room?"

Noctis nodded his head sadly "I don't believe she wishes to show her emotional side to me, she barely spoke a word to me on the way home."

"No doubt what has happened has made her feel like she doesn't belong. I will talk to her, why don't you get started on your homework." Mari stated before she went to talk with her daughter.

When she had gone to Mari's room, she saw that Mari was doing her school work as she sniffled a bit. "Reina darling...Can we talk for a moment sweetie?"

Reina stopped working on her homework and looked at her mother. "S-Sure thing Ma...W-What did you want to talk to me about?"

Mari shut the door and went up to her daughter to hug her tightly. "The prince told me about what had happened, I can assure you that what they've done today will not go on unnoticed. Tomorrow you and I are going to that office and we're going to talk to those people who have done what they have to you today. I can assure you that this will not be tolerated." Mari said sincerely to her

"Mama...I feel like I don't belong here. My...My vision is going and I can't see anything far away anymore."Reina said through her sobs

Mari knew that it was because of her genetics that her daughter was losing her eye sight. "Darling, it may be because of the genetics that you get from me that you are dealing with that. Let's take you somewhere to get your eyes checked out and from there see what we can do about getting you glasses."

Reina nodded her head. "O...Of course mama." Reina said through her sniffles

Mari and Reina went downstairs and went to talk to Regis about what was going on and Regis was surprised to hear that the young demoness was losing her eye sight. He had no idea where the nearest place would be for her to get her eyes checked out until Ignis had came in to speak to the king about Noctis's concerns about Reina. Knowing that the woman in question was in need of glasses, Ignis was more than happy to help the young demoness out with what she needed. Ignis took the young princess and the Queen of Dymon to the nearest place and spoke for them, the young princess was able to get her eyes checked out instantly and it was known by Mari and by Ignis that she was very near sighted that her eye sight was fifteen/ twenty.

Which surprised Ignis that she was able to see enough to see what was in front of her this entire time. When they got out of the appointment it was known that they would have to wait two weeks for her to have glasses ready. They even gave her a note that stated that until her glasses were ready that she needed to be up front in her classes to be able to see. When they got back to the castle, Regis and Noctis were waiting to hear about the results only for Ignis to inform them that the young princess was indeed near sighted. The two males were rather surprised to hear that she was near sighted.
