"I made breakfast!" Fiona called out from the kitchen while Fallon was finishing tucking her white shirt into her pants and fixing her badge.
She smiled at her reflection in the mirror before turning off the light and leaving the bathroom.
"Oh yeah? What'd you make?" The older sister replied, walking into the kitchen. She peered over the kitchen island and watched as Fiona dropped a burnt waffle on the ground.
"What're you doing.." Fallon groaned walking over and picking it up. Her eyes widened at the mountain of dishes in the kitchen sink, she then noticed two bowls of oatmeal on the counter.
"Oatmeal!" Fallon exclaimed happily. Out of all breakfast foods, oatmeal was the woman's favorite. Before Fiona could say anything, Fallon scooped a spoonful and put it in her mouth.
"Wait!" Fiona reached out and cringed as she watched her older sisters face contort in disgust.
Fallon gagged and spit the oatmeal out into the sink.
"God Fi, how'd you fuck oatmeal up?" Fallon groaned and washed her mouth out with water.
"I dunno, probably like you fuck up by leaving spoiled milk in the fridge." She rebutted, glancing over at Fallon with an annoyed squint. "Gotta go shopping sis." She faked a country accent, pulling another waffle out of the toaster.
Fallon laughed breathlessly and stole the waffle out of Fiona's hands, taking a knife and putting some butter on it.
"Hey!" Fiona whined.
"Mine now." Fallon took a bite and smiled. Fiona rolled her eyes and turned back to put another waffle in the toaster as Fallon stared at her.
The woman chewed her waffle as her smile fell. Watching Fiona reminded her of Cleo speaking about Madeline last night and it just made her chest feel tight.
Fiona means the world to Fallon, to even think of anything happening to her is the most terrifying thought to the her. She'd die before she'd let anything happen to her baby sister.
If soulmates are a thing, Fiona is definitely the sibling version of that for Fallon.
Cleo didn't have that anymore, and from what she told the younger woman, they seemed just as close if not closer than Fiona and Fallon are.
It breaks the blondes heart to think about the pain Cleo must be feeling, and it was at this moment that Fiona realized her older sister was watching her.
"Uh you ok?" Fiona questioned, now buttering her waffle slowly as she looked at Fallon. Fallons now cold waffle was set onto the counter as she walked closer to engulf Fiona into a tight hug.
The teen groaned before defeatedly wrapping her arms around Fallons waist, the two standing like that for a few moments before Fiona pulled away.
"Since tomorrow is your day off do you think we could do something fun? Maybe go out to eat or go skating or something?" Fiona questioned, walking over to the table and grabbing her backpack which was slumped into a chair.
Fallon nodded and smiled. "Yeah definitely. Go make sure you don't miss the bus, have a good day."
As Fallon watched Fiona walk out of the door with a smile, she couldn't help it when her mind returned to the events of last night.
Truthfully, Fallon dreaded going into work today.
Cleo and her hadn't communicated since the kiss and she was afraid that she'd go back into a stone cold Atwood, resorting to treating her like nothing more than a coworker.
The whole drive to work her mind raced and raced.
Fallon had also decided not to tell Fiona about any of it just yet. She knew how much Fi enjoys Cleo's presence and her family, and she didn't wanna get her hopes up in any way.
