2 updates? Within a day? A nearly 4000 word chapter? Y'all better comment a lot because this took ALOT out of me.

Walking into the office today, I got more stares than I usually would. I couldn't find it in me to care but i just chalked it up to everything Fallon had told me about the rumors circulating.

Fallon was still home with Fiona. She had scheduled a therapy appointment and needed to take her to it. Although Fionas now getting help, I still felt extremely furious that Kenin had anything to do with hurting her.

Even if he's never physically touched her.

Yesterday when he called, I'd convinced Fallon not to answer and instead let me deal with everything today. But my nerves built every second I stayed in this building.

I didn't know what the plan was. I told Fallon I was going to go to Sergio about everything and I will, but it doesn't mean I'm not shitting myself over it. On top of that, Im trying to calm myself down before I make an impulsive trip to Kenins department.

As I walked in between the pods in the office, I stumbled over something and tripped into Alan who'd glanced at me.

I held his gaze for a moment, and he simply glared at me before walking away. Furrowing my eyebrows, I continued walking to my office.

Not to sound bitchy or anything, but usually Alan and literally everybody else are always scared and intimidated by me, but Alan's usual overly apologetic nature wasn't present anymore.

In fact as I walked through my department building, the glares I got from people were different. No longer admiration and a bit of fear, but now it was judgement.

I sighed and approached my office, opening the door and turning the lights on. My life is a fucking disaster right now. And I'm too fucking sexy for jail.

As I propped open my door and turned around, I nearly jumped out of my skin when my eyes landed on Kenin sitting on my desk.

"What the fuck?" I gripped my chest as I calmed my breathing. He grinned with a tilt of his head before standing.

"Cleo Atwood. How're things?" He smiled, slowly making his way over to me. Kenin had an obnoxious habit of dragging his words out.

So dramatic, much like the shitty colored suits he wore.

It took everything in me to not wipe the smile off his face with a swift punch to his fatass nose — but I didn't need to give the universe any more of a reason to condemn me to prison.

"Just lovely. Now what I have done to be graced with your presence?" I asked, sarcastically, walking past him. I set my purse and phone down on my desk before turning around to face him.

Kenin knows that I killed Jason. Somehow, he knows — I could tell.

"Well, I'm really here for a meeting with Sergio. But decided to make a quick pit stop to see you before you're dragged off to jail." Kenin, crossed his arms as he analyzed me. I knew exactly what game he was playing and I was not going to participate.

"Jail? Since when has looking good become a crime?" I asked innocently, walking around my desk to sit in my chair.

He chuckled. I rollled my eyes and focused on booting up my computer before he spoke once more.

"How is Fallon? And little Fi, I bet she's happy to finally have some one on one time with her sister without you hogging her away." Kenin spat, causing me to instantly stand up.

"Keep both of their names out of your filthy mouth."

"Or what? You gonna shoot me?" Kenin said, leaving his mouth agape sarcastically. My movements froze when he said that as I glanced to my open office door.
