"Next meeting, the first group of reporters will start with their reporting. As for the other groups, start working on your assigned topics. And, I'd like to remind you all to memorize your class schedule..."
He was staring at me while he was delivering his sermon. As if ako lang 'yong nahuli sa klase niya.
"Narinig mo ang sinabi ni prof?" Heidi said with a sheepish smile aimed directly at me.
I gave her a sharp glare. She released a short annoying giggle.
I got a 1.7 mark in his subject last year even though I was active in his class and I did all the requirements. My only flaw was that I was often late for his class, but I never missed his class, not even once.
I felt bad for my classmates whose last names start with A-C, including Heidi since Cervantes and surname niya. But maybe she deserved it for always annoying me.
"Lezgo, may next class pa tayo."
I looked up at Heidi and found her giving me a disoriented look.
I was minding my own business when I heard a loud slap coming from the back. The next thing I knew, I was hissing under my breath as I felt a stinging pain in my peachy bum.
"Heidi!"
He insisted.
He sighed. "If you say so. Hintayin ka namin do'n."
I nodded in response. He then vanished from my sight.
"As usual, hija?" Mana Carol asked.
"Yes po. It's all I can afford for now."
