Knothole: "Wooohooo" Rotor shouted as he landed in the large haystack at the end of the winding slide that led from the hidden entrance up top to the safety of the village below.

"Yee-Haw" Bunnie shouted, following after him, Rotor quickly scrambled out of the haystack as Bunnie made her landing. She landed pretty deep into the haystack and stuck her metal hand out of the pile and waved for someone to help her.

"Hey Rotor, can ya'll give me a hand please"

"No problem Bunnie" Rotor reached out to grasp the cold metal arm and gently pulled his friend out of the hay.

"Whew, thanks sugar" Bunnie said with a smile, brushing a few loose straws out of her fur.

"Hey guys!" came another excited voice.

The two turned to see the youngest member of the freedom fighters run towards them.

"Heya Tails" Rotor said

"Hey there sugar" Bunnie said

"So did you guys trash Buttniks base?" Tails asked

"You know it buddy!!" Rotor said with a big smile.

"AWESOME" tails said with glee, and the three friends high fived each other, the young fox started looking around and asked them

" Hey, where's Sonic and Sally?"

"We finished our mission but had to bail early cause all the Swatbots were comin from round the city" said Rotor

Tails gasped, his ears fell back and a worried look started to form on his face, but Bunnie noticed this and placed a hand on his shoulder

"Don't you worry bout them hon, those two can handle a few ol Swatbots, they'll be back soon" Bunnie said softly to reassure the young fox

Tails gave her a small smile and said "OK aunt Bunnie"

"Look out below." Everyone looked up to see Sally coming down the slide and landing safely in the hay.

"Aunt Sally" Tails cried out happily and moved over to the bottom of the stack as Sally came down and hugged the young fox.

"Hi sweetie" Sally said and gave him a kiss on the forehead, tails giggled as he hugged back. Tails always liked it when Sally showed him such affections, she was something of a surrogate mother to the young fox and he embraced every moment of it. Sally let go of Tails and she stood up and looked towards the others with a proud smile

"Great work everyone, Robotnik's power plant has been destroyed"

"I just hope it stays down for a long time but, who knows with that guy" Rotor said with a hint of concern in his voice

"Well I have no doubt Robotnik will still have plenty of back up power sources, but at least with this, we can move around more freely and start setting up for the next mission." Sally's words put Rotor more at ease.

"Now I think it's time for...."her words were interrupted by the sound of someone coming down the slide and shouting out

"CANNONBALL" Sonic yelled as he landed in the hay with far more speed than the others. His landing sent a large chunk of the hay into the air and onto his friends who were standing nearby. the blue hedgehog popped out of the hay with a big smile on his face and gave a hearty laugh as he looked down at the others who were giving him a slightly annoyed look

"Ha ha ha ha, Sorry bout that guys" He said as he sped around his friends and in less than a few seconds, all of the hay was picked up and the stack was neatly back in place. Sonic stood next to the group lightly brushing his hands together "There we go"
