Jeremy was leaning against Evelyn . After the accident, the paramedics were called and Vicki was safely sent to hospital. Everyone in the party already started going home and Elena was talking with Bonnie.

He felt exhausted by all that happened tonight. He was just glad that Vicki was safe, all credit to Evelyn's quick thinking.

"You know what you did back there was pretty brave." Jeremy murmured.

"Yeah?" Evelyn asked quietly

"Mm-hm I'm very proud of you sissy "
Jeremy sofly says , his body turning to his sister looking at her with love.

"You know you haven't called me that since you were 10 " Evelyn laughed.

Jeremy joined in the laughter too.
Just in time Elena joined the siblings .

Elena asked softly ,"You okay?"
Suddenly feeling all the peace he felt just moments ago vanish into thin air.
Picking the beer bottle he ditched while talking to Evelyn, Jeremy picks it up and drinks the beer instead answering Elena.

Elena tries to  touch his shoulder only for him to shrug it off. While pulling Evelyn more into his side.

Evelyn felt hurt by this. Seeing as Elena was only looking out for him , his move really hurt Elena.

Deciding to take a different approach.
"I called Jenna , she's on her way." Elena says to them.
Evelyn smiles at Elena and Elena return her one.
While Jeremy just looks around drinking his beer.
"Those people in uniform. Last time I checked they're the police." Elena tries to laugh him off.
Evelyn sensed Jeremy's irritation and  silently prayed to Mother Nature to not have any fight between them. The Eldest and the youngest of Gilberts always fought .

But Just like a purple hyacinth, her prayers were answered with sorrow and regret.

Jeremy drinks the remaining beer in one gulp and throws the bottle away. Both the sister watches concerningly.

"People are gonna stop giving you breaks Jer....They just don't care anymore .....They don't remember that our parents are dead.....They've got their own lives to deal with...The rest of the world has moved on....You should try too...." Elena opens their eyes with reality.

Evelyn knows this. She knows her life will never be the same from now on. She won't have her Mum waiting in the house to listen to her stories or her Dad spending time with her planting trees in their backyard.......But sometimes even she can't help but blame the destiny to give her such worse fate.

Fed up with his sister's hypocrisy, Jeremy decided to give her a reality check.
"I've seen you in the cemetery writing in your diary. Is that supposed to be you moving on?"

"Alright, That's it. Stop it both of you. Fighting won't solve anything,  besides Mom and Dad wouldn't have wanted this." Evelyn sadly spoke finally deciding to break the tension.

And It worked.

Jeremy understood it and Elena agreed with her sister.

The Next day Evelyn continued with her normal daily routine. Waking up, making breakfast, watering the plants . Currently she was sitting on the couch thinking.

"Goodmorning Evy!"Elena said cheerfully coming into the living room.
"Goodmorning Eli."Evelyn responded .

Something was on Evelyn's mind.She couldn't help but think about last night. She is extremely worried for Vicki and she wanted to visit her. But she can't skip her school. She was a good girl, so skipping was equal to a sin for her.
