Stirring the eggs and bacon on frying pan, she flipped and plated it.
"Jer, Eli the breakfast's ready. Come down!" She shouted through the house.
Letting her hair out from the hair tie, she sighed.
Jeremy ran down and met her in the middle.
"Evy I'm so sorry but I gotta go. I'll eat breakfast later." He said hurried.
Furrowing her eyebrows,Evelyn asked "What, why?"
"They have organized a search party for Vicki, I gotta be there Evy.." he sadly says.
Evelyn's breath hitch slightly. Oh no! She completely forgot about her brother. Ofcourse he would want to find her. But she can't stop him from finding her...what if Jeremy finds the truth and is harmed? No! she cannot even imagine it.
"Uh jer...I wanted to join too..so maybe we can both go after school...?" She hesitantly ask.
She knew she can't convince him to stay so she decided to take this approach.

"Evy. You know how much she means to me right? I know you do..please I have to go." He holds her shoulders looking straight in her eyes.
Breathing deeply she understands that she can't stop him. So she nods and smile slightly to comfort him.
He pats her head and leave for the door
"Jer." She calls out.
He looks back.
"Don't worry, she is going to be fine." Her sweet voice soothe his turmoil just a little. Jeremy starts to tear up.
"How do you know?" He let's out a shaky breath.
"Cause she's a fighter."
Hearing her words, Jeremy feels a lot calmer. Evelyn was right. Vicki is a fighter and she will fight whatever is going on that she was hiding from him. Plus he and Evelyn will always will be there for her.
He smiles and leaves the door.
Elena comes down just in time to catch him leaving. She sat down at the table and started eating breakfast.
"Evy, we gotta go to Stefan. Jeremy-" Elena worriedly said.
"Yeah, I talked to him. Take your time, im gonna be outside waiting." She replied and left.
