Evelyn was sitting in the backseat of the car that Elena was currently driving. Stefan is guiding them to the place where it all started.
The car come to a stop in the middle of the woods.
"What are we doing here?" Elena asked getting out of the car while Evelyn helped herself out.
"I wanna show you something." He said.
"In the middle of nowhere?" She asked.
"This didn't used to be nowhere. Used to be home."
Evelyn wandered near a big tree with yellow leaves and blackish-brown trunk and branches. "These are Virginia round leaf birch. One of the rarest species in Virginia. Since it lives for 150 yrs old average and looking at the bark pattern this whole place must be 150 yrs old atleast..." She said.

"You are correct Evelyn. As always."
"Wait..so that means.....how long have you..?" Elena stuttered.
"I've been 17 yrs old since 1864."
"Oh my god" Elena said.
Evelyn was absolutely shocked. He must nearly be 150 years old.
"You said you wanted to know. I'm not gonna hold anything back. Half century before the boarding house was even build. This was my family's home. Damon and I, we were both born here. The Salvatore brothers, best friends...." then he continued to tell the story.
They were walking through the broken debris.
"So you knew katherine in 1864." Evelyn remarked.
"Damon made it seem like-" Elena added.
"Damon was trying to make you think that I still was heartbroken. He saw that I was happy with you and he wanted to ruin it." Stefan said.
"All because you lived the same woman 145 years ago?" Elena skeptically said.
Stefan shaked his head. "She wasn't just any girl."
Then he told them about Katherine's charm and her seduction which made the brothers compete for her hand for the Founder's ball.
