A few hours after the last chapter ends- Aizawa POV

I get in the bus without a word and sit down and after making sure all of my students are in the bus I start driving. The ride back is dead quiet, almost like we all know that a single word will make everyone break down in tears from the fear and pain of loosing Bakugo and Midoriya's injuries. That's what I feel the worst about, Midoriya getting hurt to the point where she passed out and I could barely feel her pulse... the emergency responder said that she SHOULD be fine, but either way I feel like shit.

Luckily none of the students are majorly hurt, just minor scrapes here and there. Midoriya on the other hand... her ribs cracked from the hit into the wall and there was damage to her skull, but that tree guy had killing intent from what I was told. If I was there to protect them... to protect her, this wouldn't have happened. I was busy making sure everyone was aware of where to go and dealing with the villains... 'Dammit... it's my fault she's here in the first place... if I just listened to her the first time I met her and left her alone she wouldn't be in this situation'

"Hey Aizawa?" I looked in the mirror and see Iida looking up at me. "Yeah?" "Is Midoriya okay? Misdrea told me what happened" I breathe in and sigh "Her ribs are cracked and she has damage to her skull, both of which are from the hit into the wall. If there is anything else I was not told" "Will she live?" 'I don't know' "I'm sure she will, the emergency responders said she will"

After I say that the bus falls quiet, unsure if anyone wants to say more, unknown to me at the time... It was obvious that I felt particularly bad about this, it's no secret that I was the one that ended up being the reason she came to UA... I was the first person from UA she had a conversation with. So after awhile I park the bus and tell the kids to go the dorms and if they want to fill their parents in on what happened. I make my way to the faculty room and sit down covering my face with my hands.

Nemuri sits down at the table I sat at "What happened Shota" "The camp was attacked, Bakugo was taken, and Midoriya was severely injured and is now in the hospital" I can feel her pat my back as a way of helping me calm down "Shota, don't blame yourself, what happened is not your fault" "But it is, Nemuri, if I had just left Midoriya be when she told me to instead of going back... and if I had made it clear that the kids are to make their way to the classroom Bakugo might have  not have been caught" "Both of those two things are 'if's' you know that, right?" "Yeah, I know" "Then why are you beating yourself up about it?"

"I'm their teacher, I'm supposed to keep them safe... and I failed"

"If you were to ask the two right now, or even the other students in your class, I highly doubt they would blame you, the kids love having you as their teacher, you might be a bit strict with them, but they know why. I had asked a couple of them a few weeks ago what they thought about you, and the only things they said were positive Shota, they even called you Dadzawa" Nemuri chuckles a bit at that, and even I smirk at it. "Your right" "No problem"

An hour later, at the hospital Izuki was taken to- 3rd person

Aizawa leans against the wall while the doctor explains that Izuki will live, but will be in a coma like state for a few days due to the hit to the head. "Thanks for telling me, do you mind if her class comes in to see her?" "Not at all, they can come in"

The doctor opens the door and lets the class in and tells them that she'll be in a coma for a while but will live then walks out. The class looks at Izuki hooked up the machine tracking her vitals and Jack walks over and holds her hand and sits down next to her and can hear Aizawa say something about a press conference and having to leave but he isn't paying attention, he just wants to be near Izuki so she knows he's there... if she's even aware of what's around her.
