The festival

The morning of the festival- Denki POV

"YO DENKI, do you mind running to the store super quickly? We need a rope to get this thing into the air, and the rope we were using broke last night" Jiro says while jabbing her thumb over her shoulder at the sunrise me and Zuki painted, "Yeah, I got this, Lea still going to help out?" "Yeah, it's simply that we don't want to make her do too much at once, so having a couple of these being on ropes controlled by Glace off stage would help a lot" I nod super quickly, "Alright, I'll be back as soon as possible, we're on at 11, right?" "Yep, last thing before lunch and all the other places open for the public" "Got it. Anyone else need anything while I'm out?" "OH! If you could stop and pick up my order of tea, that would be nice, it's just a small pack of black tea" "Yeah, no problem Yaoyorozu" I walk out and make my way to the store to get the rope needed.

After I get the rope, I walk over to the tea house to pick up the tea for Yaoyorozu, "Thank you so much, how much do I owe you?" "It was pre paid for, tell Yaoyorozu that I wish you all luck on your performance today" "You know?" "Yeah, me and her have become friends over the last year" "That's nice, have a good day" "You too" I walk out and I see and older man with a somewhat short lady companion a few feet ahead of me, and I can catch some of their conversation "I'm telling you Gentle, I don't know if this is a good idea, if we get caught or even seen for a brief second, the event would be cancelled, I don't want to make their practice and time be a waste" "Not to worry La Brava, we won't be seen once, we get in, watch the performance by 1-A and 1-B, then we leave, simple as that" 'They're planning to break into UA!'

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that, so if you two could stop so we can chat for a second, that would be nice" The two turn and the shorter one, La Brava by the sounds of it, recognizes me instantly, "Gentle, that's Chargebolt, a student at UA" "Ah, is it now?" "Yeah, that's me. Look, by the sounds of it, you don't mean any harm, but if you do this, it could result in the end of the UA festival, and my friends have put too much effort into this for it to be stopped" "I understand, I really do, but I have a reputation to uphold! Or I would not be the Gentle Criminal!"

"Oh, so that's who you are, I've heard a lot about you, multiple cases of breaking and entering, a few thefts, even 1 or 2 assault cases, not to mention people thinking that you force your friend here to be an accomplice by filming you do all these crimes" "I have only harmed those who deserve it, I would never harm someone innocent!" "I don't doubt that, truly. All I'm saying, is that the event is open to the public, so if you want to watch, no need for all this extravagant shit" "Is it really?"

"Yeah, so I beg you, this is a super important event for those outside of the hero course to show what their made of, to shine on their own, don't do something that will cause it to be stopped" He smiles a bit, "Alright, you have my word. Maybe you were right after all La Brava" He bows slightly, "I wish your class good luck today" "Thanks, now, I have to get back soon. Bye" I take off running so I can get back on time to be able to get the rope set up and everything.

I make into the backstage at 10 minutes before we get on stage, and hand the rope to Jiro who starts setting it up while I give the tea to Yaoyorozu and I go into the bathroom to change into the outfits we had made for today.

Izuki POV

Something happened while Denks was out, I just know it, but I don't have to ask right now, not to mention I'm getting nervous, majorly. Glace and Lea come out they both set their arms around my shoulders, "Don't worry Izu, you'll nail this, we all believe in you" "Yeah, what Lea said. You've practiced for two weeks now, not to mention that you yourself had made a mental note about how important this song is to you, you did take yourself into account while writing the lyrics" "Yeah, I know, it's just last minute nervousness, I can do this. Go out there, talk for a little, then the song" "Yep! You know what you're going to say Zuki?" I laugh a bit, "Not at all, I'm just going to kinda... wing it"
