2 weeks after the last chapter, during lunch, 3rd person
"Hey Jack?" "Yeah?" "Have you noticed something... off... with Zuki since yesterday?" "Yes actually, I asked her if she was okay, she said everything is fine" Ev lightly shakes her head, and looks over at Izuki, who is walking over with her lunch. "We'll continue this talk later. Zuki, are you feeling okay? You look a bit pale" "I promise you, I'm fine..." She sits down and starts eating, "But... I have had weird dreams the last two nights, something about Umbreon" "What about Umbre?" "Not her, Umbreon. The form" "Not the soul tied to it?" Izuki nods "The dreams start out normal, but quickly dive into madness, shadow's taking the form of all of you guys, even the LOV. I can hear whispers calling me 'Ruler of Shadows' and I'm forced into Umbreon's form, and the shadow creatures... people... I don't know, a-anyway, they kneel in front of me... and then I always wake up after that, always. Not a moment before, not a moment after, the moment they are all kneeling, I wake up" Evelyn taps her chin a few times in thought, "I've never heard of something like this, maybe this has to do with your quirk awakening?" "I really hope so, I'm honestly worried I'm going insane"
"You aren't going insane Zuki, we'll figure this out" "Really? You promise?" "I promise" "Could it be that your quirk isn't one quirk but multiple?" "What are you talking about Ev? It's one quirk" "That's what you were told, but think about it... it may have a name and be one quirk, but it's core could have been built from multiple other quirks" Izuki sits in thought for a bit, and shrugs "I guess that could be why Esp is the form she is, Jack's mom had a mind quirk, did she not?" "Mom had a quite strong psychic quirk, she could mess with people's minds give them hallucinations and all that" "Oh wow... that's awesome" "I hate to say it... but in that case, what would happen when you loose the souls tied to the forms?" Izuku hums in thought, "That's... a good question. I think everything will stay, but I'm not sure, I'll ask the others tonight" "Alright. Either of you have an idea of what we're doing for class after lunch?" "I think it's just general training" "Okay" Jack notices something in her eyes, she wants to say something but is scared.
"You okay? I can tell you want to say something but are scared to say it" "I-I'm fine... really" "I don't believe you" "I swear, it's nothing major... I... just want to talk to you alone" "Now or after school?" "It can wait..." She pokes at her food with her chopsticks, clearly nervous about something.
"Zuki, I swear to god... if you are worried about something just say it" She shakes her head, "It can wait. I promise" Ev sighs "Fucking hell... fine. But I'm going to be there too, Fumi as well" "Where even is he?" "Tsu wanted to talk to him about something" "That... sounds like she may have a crush on him" "Huh, oh well" "You aren't worried?" "Nah. We've been dating for a few days now" "Wait what?" "Yeah, I decided that I'm ready to start dating about 4 days ago" Izuki blinks a few times, "And we weren't told?" "His idea" "That... makes sense" "Anyway, let's finish eating get to class"
Izuki POV
I'm worried. These dreams have to mean something, but I have no idea what. I get so lost in my own head thinking about what they could mean that I don't even register that Aizawa told us to go change for training.
"Izuki!" "H-huh?" "Go get changed and get to ground Beta" "Yes sir, sorry" I can hear him sigh as I get up and start to leave, "You alright kiddo?" "I'm fine, I promise" "Alright... just go catch up with your class" I nod and head out.
When they return to the dorms
"Jack, can you get the other two and meet me in my room?" "Sure. See you in a bit" I walk up to my room, and wait, and eventually someone knocks on my door. "Come in" Jack, Ev, and Fumi walk in, "What's wrong Zuki? All I was told is that you wanted to talk to us about something" I slowly breathe in and out, "I... want to be honest with you three, granted... the person it involves has already figured it out by now" "What are you talking about? Zuki, you can trust us" "I know... I'm going to bring Lily back, not my dad" "Are... you sure about this?" "Yes" "Alright, I'm sure Denki will be insanely grateful"
