Trouble brewing

The following day- Niji POV

'Izu sent me a text this morning to expect all of her friend group, I can't want to properly meet them, I really only met them as Xerneas, but for today I'm Izu's aunt'  There's a knock on my office door, taking me out of my thoughts "Come in" the door opens and I see one of my sidekicks, Noivern, "Noivern? What's up?" "The students from UA are here, explained that they ran a bit late because the trains were behind" "Ah, in that case you can send them in here, thank you Noivern" "No problem Xerneas" He walks out and a few minutes later Izu and her friends walk in, and I walk over and hug my niece "It's been a while since we talked in person, how's school been Izu?" "It's been good, it's nice to see you again Aunty" I break the hug and look over her friends, "You must be her friends, it's a pleasure to actually get a chance to properly meet you"

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you properly as well Xerneas" "Please, while alone you all can call me Niji or Kalo, I don't mind, but Palkin, you can call me Aunty as well if you wish," I giggle and start walking back to my desk, "You will be my nephew-in-law one day after all, speaking of that, when are you going to ask her? I'd like to be there at the wedding" I sit down and look at the group, namely Kaminari who seems to be amused by my teasing, Tokoyami and Misdrea just quietly watching. I don't want to, but I have to get started with why their here "Alright you 5, I do have to tell you all what you'll be helping me with during this week, and honestly... this is something that will continue to impact far more than this week"

3rd person

Izuki and the others go and sit down on chairs across of Niji's desk after hearing that, "What's wrong Aunty?" Niji sighs and turns on the screen behind her, "This is the Meta Liberation Army, who we know has contact with the LOV. The two groups haven't been as active the past few months, so we can only guess at what they're planning, but from what we know about the LOV's goals, it's nothing good" "How exactly did you get these photos?" "There are a few spies for the commission inside their ranks, they took these photos, and... I'm sorry for what you're about to see, but you have to know" She goes to her computer and pulls up a few photos on it which appear on the screen, and what appears is not pleasant one bit.

Mutilated corpses, some untouched but most half turned into Nomus, are scattered around a room, with a pool of blood on the floor. "I... I think I'm going to be sick... I can see that guy's skull" Niji walks over and sets her hand on Ev's shoulder and uses her quirk to settle her stomach, "That help? I truly am sorry for making you see this, but it'll make sense in a second" "Y-yeah, thanks" "Of course, now, the reason I'm showing you this is because their working on making a new type of Nomu, from our spies this type of Nomu will be able to speak, think, and even act on it's own... you can see why this would be a problem" She goes over and takes the image off the screen and puts up a new one, this one has two images of people on it, "These are the only known members, and they have already been arrested, so we have no idea who is part of this" "I have a question" "What's up Kaminari?" "What do these people even want, most groups like this have some kind of goal" "They have a belief that freely using quirks is a birthright, but there's a reason quirk usage is so heavily monitored and regulated"

"I get why that's a problem, and that's probably the reason that they have people who agree with them, but I don't really get how they plan on doing something like that, they'd need someone who good with politics or the public opinion in general" Izuki's eyes widen and she goes up to Niji's laptop and searches something and puts it on the screen, "Found just you're thinking they'd need Ev. This is Chitose Kizuki, a reporter who wrote about not only Kitt, but Overhaul and the Meta Liberation Army, I'd say she's someone that should be looked into" Niji looks at Izuki and the computer, "Huh, I never thought about that, you both are right. Good job Sweetie" Izuki smiles a bit and goes back to the chair she was in, "I don't have much else to tell you about this, Noivern will show you all to your rooms. Change into your costumes and meet back here, we'll be going out on patrol for a bit" The group nods and walks out followed by Niji.
