Birthday celebrations

Izuki POV

Mira's been doing pretty well in the classes and in getting caught up with us, we think she'll be able to take the make up test to get her provisional license somewhat soon, but first, she needs to figure out her hero name. "Any ideas yet?" "No... I have nothing" I set my hand on her shoulder, "Hey, it's alright, you'll figure it out" "I know... I just don't want to fall behind you all" "Mira, it's fine. Take your time" She flops backward on her floor, laying on her back and tossing her pencil up and down, "Do you have any ideas Izuki?" "You could do something similar to your quirk if you have no other ideas, just as a placeholder until you come up with your actual hero name" "I guess that could work, my quirk is called Iron Serpent, but that doesn't really sound like a hero name" "Oh! What about Miraidon?" "That's really close to my name though" I stare at her with a blank face, "Todoroki has his hero name as 'Shoto' his first name, Iida did the same before swapping and taking on his older brother's hero name" "Oh, I guess Miraidon could work, it sounds cool too"

I try to stifle a yawn, but Mira notices it, "Izuki, go get some sleep. Tomorrow is your birthday, you need the rest" "But... it's not even 10pm" "Who cares, go" "Fine, but I'm heading downstairs to say goodnight to Jack, and to get a drink" I get up and walk to the elevator, and press to the button to call it up to the 5th floor, and rub my eyes. "I really need to start wearing my reading glasses, I've been putting it off but I really need them now, my head hurts so much..." I hear the ding and walk in, but run into someone, "Oh! Sorry!" I back up and see that I ran into Jack, "No need to apologize Babe, I was just looking for you" "Huh? Why?" "I was about to start getting ready for bed and was curious what your plan was, how much later you and Mira would stay up. I tried calling but I think you forgot your phone in your room" He chuckles a bit while I pat my pockets, "I think I did... that's annoying" "Well, what's your plan for the night? I take it you were heading to bed?" "Yeah, though I was planning on stopping by the first floor for a drink and to say goodnight to you" He hands me a water bottle he must have grabbed from the fridge, "Here, I grabbed it for me, but you can have it. I have others in my room"

I look at the water bottle and back at him before sighing and taking a drink from it, "Thanks, though I feel bad about taking this from you" "Don't worry, I have others. I just noticed, are you in your pajama's?" "U-umm... y-yeah... it's because I was worried I'd fall asleep depending on how late me and Mira stayed up" He laughs a bit and goes back into the elevator, to which I join him. "You want to go to bed?" "Yeah... it's been a long day, I could use some sleep" "Yeah, you want to sleep together?" My face immediately goes bright red and I stutter a few unintelligible words out.

"You alright? What's wrong?" "Please... never phrase it like that again" "What? I was only aski- Oh..." "Mhm" "I'm sorry" I lean my back against his chest and look up at him, "It's alright, really. It just caught me off guard" 'Not like I'd be apposed to it...' "E-either way, I wouldn't mind cuddling tonight, your room?" "Sure"

Me and him head to his room and I sit on his bed while he gets changed in his bathroom, and a bit later he comes out and turns off the lights before laying in bed next to me. "I'm uhh... sorry if my tail bothers you at all, depending on how I lay it can be annoying" I can hear a light chuckle from him, "I haven't complained at all, why worry now?" "I don't know, I just... have been weirdly anxious about small things lately" "Could it just be that you're nervous about the increase of crimes?" "Possibly... I need to be honest with you, I'm worried" "About what? What has you this worried?" "I'm worried that all of us will end up unable to be normal people, but practically stuck as our hero aliases... with the increase of crimes, as well as the fact that we know the LOV and MLA joined forces... I can only see danger on the horizon" I can feel Jack set his hand on the top of my head and he... gives me head pats? "U-umm... what?" I giggle a bit, "I can stop if you want"
