Denki POV

It was about 4 in the afternoon when Fumi told us about what he and Zuki found, it's now nearly midnight, and there's still no sign of this guy. 

I'm hiding with Tokoyami in a room off the main area, when we hear noise in the loading dock, and my phone buzzes.

'Denks, there's a truck pulling in, me and Aunty are heading over there. Be ready'

'OK'

"Zuki and Xerneas are heading over there, we just have to be ready if things go south" I look over at Tokoyami, who seems lost in thought, "You good?" "Hm? Oh, yeah I'm fine" " I can tell your lying, what's on your mind dude?" Tokoyami shakes his head and looks at the ground "It's just... while me and Zuki were looking around she asked how I've been able to manage, and I responded that it was the fact I made a goal for my life and held on to it all this time" "And now you're doubting that?" "A little, me and her both shared the whole Overhaul thing, but the 'tests' he put us in, those were completely different. I got put on the streets to fend for myself, but ended up being taken in by someone and had the support and care that I needed, including someone to talk to, someone to trust, someone to share what I went through with... Zuki didn't get any of that"

I set my hand on his shoulder to comfort him, "Tokoyami, Zuki may not have gotten all that, but she has it now. She has the support and care, she has people to talk to, to trust, to share her trauma... to share her burdens. I may not know her as well as you, and it's clear that she still puts a fake smile on sometimes, but I do know that she is strong, more than just physically strong, but mentally as well, there's no way I would have been able to withstand all the pain that you and her went through without breaking... I kinda envy you" "What? Why do YOU envy me?"

I lightly smile and my arms drop to my sides, "I don't know if Zuki ever told you three, but I had a sister... her name was Lily, she was quirkless" "Oh... she was bullied, wasn't she?" "Yeah... you and Zuki had Jackson and Evelyn as well multiple adults there for you... Lily only had me, and I wasn't enough... I failed as an older brother" I can feel Tokoyami looking at me, but I just set my head down on the table we're sitting at. "Did... did she..." "Two months before the UA entrance exam. When Zuki told us about... all of that... I-I saw Lily all over again... I failed her, I can't fail someone again, it's why I became so focused on becoming a hero, so I can keep others from killing themselves like Lily, is it a bit selfish? Probably..." Me and him are both silent for a bit, "It's not selfish Denki, you want to keep other's from having the same pain and regrets you do. I'd say that's a good enough reason to be a hero" I smile at him a bit "Thanks dude"

Evelyn POV

After getting the text from Zuki about the truck at the loading dock, me and Jack quietly made our way there to make sure everything goes smoothly. "So, Jack?" "Yeah?" "Has Zuki told you what she and Melissa had talked about?" "Don't think so, and I never asked" "Well you'll find out today, three words. Fox. Mating. Season." "O-oh" I giggle a bit at his reaction, "Don't worry too much though, Melissa gave Zuki some meds that will help control it, if she remembers to take it everyday during those two months that is, otherwise there's a very slim chance she'd be able to control her urges" "Why are you telling me this?" "Simple. I'm kinda bored" He scoffs a bit "Well, when are you and Fumi going to get together? You both know how the other feels" "Like I said then, I'm not really sure if I'm ready to start dating someone" "Why not? You don't have any ex's that you'd still be stuck on" "Ouch" "I didn't mean that in a way to be mean" "Well it still hurt" "Sucks to be you then" "Alright Jack, you gonna start calling Xerneas Aunty like Zuki?" "Hmmm... probably, being completely honest" "Oh, cool"

He sighs and starts staring into space, "What's on your mind Jack?" "Nothing much, just thinking about something Zuki said while were out the day after the Sports Festival" "What did she say?" "She had something she wanted to tell me, but said it could wait till we got back to the dorms" "Any idea what it could be?" "No, not a clue. I could tell something has been bothering her for a while, I can't think of anything that happened recently that would cause her worry" "Maybe that's exactly it, she's getting nervous because nothing is happening" "I guess... I'll ask her later, when we get back to the agency" "Alright"
