This takes place during the Christmas before the training camp- 3rd person
Eri comes running into Izuki's room and shakes her awake, "Mama! Wake up! It's Christmas!" Izuki opens her eyes and sees Eri in a Santa outfit "You look adorable, Eri" "Yaoyorozu made one for everyone, yours is on your desk!" "Alright, I'll get dressed and come downstairs" Eri nods and runs out.
Izuki gets up and looks at the outfit made by her classmate, it's a solid green with white fur-like additions, and the hat has a bobble that looks like a snow globe with symbols that resemble the elements of her humanoid forms, she would have preferred it to not be a skirt but doesn't mind. She gets dressed and goes downstairs and notices that everyone has a bobble on their head that goes with their quirk, she finds it a little corny but smiles a little at the fact that Hagakure's hat doesn't have anything, and makes her way to Jack and Ev to say good morning "Morning Zuki!" "Morning you two" She sees that Jack's hat has a design that seems to be a piece of coal turning to diamond, even though it's a thing that can happen naturally, it's a good representation of his quirk, while Ev's bobble is simply a ghost.
"Good morning Izuki, merry Christmas" Izuki looks over and stifles a laugh at Iida, who has a fake beard on "Umm... morning Iida" "Izuki! How good are you at signing?" Mina came running over while asking "Oh, not that good honestly, why?" "I was thinking that we have a singing contest, Jiro wanted to do a small little song anyway, so why not?" "A singing contest would be quite fun, and those who don't want to perform don't have to. When are you planning on doing it?" "After lunch," she checks the time on her phone "which will be in about 6 hours from now, so figure out what song you want to sing and tell Jiro so she can find the music for it, she's lending us her speaker and microphone for this" "I... probably won't do anything, I honestly don't know how good I am at singing anymore" Izuki rubs the back of her head, a bit nervous.
"I wanted to mention this real quick Zuki, you were great at singing when we were children, the best of us all" "Yeah, I know, but I haven't done anything in terms of singing in years, I mean... I occasionally sung myself to sleep before and while in the forest, but nothing like I would be doing now" "Wait, you can sing Izuki?! You just said you couldn't!" Mina moves to be right in front of her, and Izuki doesn't know what to do "I... I-I just really don't want to sing in front of everyone today, I'm sorry Ashido, truly" Mina sighs and backs up "Izuki, that's all you had to say, if you don't want to, you don't have to" She smiles slightly, though she's a little sad about Izuki saying no "Plus, you can just call me Mina, we all call you Izuki, so it's only fair" Izuki nods
Iida and Mina walk off and Izuki breathes out, leaning against Jack "I feel a bit bad about turning her down, it's clear she was hoping I would join in" Jack puts his arm around her "I'm sure she understands, you don't feel comfortable singing in front of everyone, that's all" Ev then joins in "Besides, there's always the future for you to do something" Izuki hums, clearly thinking about something "Something on your mind Zuki?" "I don't want to sing alone, that's the main issue, so... maybe you and I do something together Jack?" "If you want to, sure" "Any song ideas?" "Hmmm... what about this one?" He shows her a song on his phone and she looks through the lyrics "What song?" Ev tries to take a look but Jack turns his phone off "Sorry Ev, you'll have to wait" "Rude..." Izuki chuckles and looks over to Eri and Alex sitting on the floor listening to Denki reading a Christmas book to them "Oh that's just adorable, Jack look" Jack looks over and smiles slightly at the two girls "You really act like Eri's mom with how much you gush over her" He said while letting out a small laugh, to which Izuki lightly shoves his shoulder "Oh be quiet, you do it too sometimes" "Yeah, but not as much as you do, you both are her parents, and there's no changing that" Ev quite with a small smirk "You're right with that, and I wouldn't change it for anything"
Iida then announces that breakfast is ready and after that will be games
