Fears come true

A few minutes after the last chapter- 3rd person

The group of friends just sit in the living room and chat, when Mina asks Izuki a question, "Hey Izuki? I've noticed that you wear some kind of necklace everyday since your birthday, two actually, but you hide what they are under the collar of your shirt, why?" Izuki slightly giggles and takes the necklaces off, showing the locket and her half of a magnet necklace with words "I was given these on my birthday, the locket from these three," she said while waving her hand at Evelyn, Jack, and Fumikage, "and the magnet one from Jack specifically" she opens the locket showing a group photo from when they were kids on one side, and on the other side was two adults, one Jack recognized as her mom, but not the other one.

"Who's the guy with red hair? I know the woman is Inko, but not the other one" "It's my dad, Hakai, he was a hero with my aunt... you might remember his hero name, Yveltal" after saying that she puts the necklace and locket back on and tucks them back under her shirt to hide them "Why hide them though?" "The reason is a bit complicated Mina, but I hide them so that I don't get bothered by people about what they're for. When you see someone wearing a locket your first thought is 'what could be in there?' right?" "Well... yeah... I understand now" Kaminari gasps and his eyes light up "I think I know who your aunt is! It's Xerneas!" The others (minus Jack) chuckle or roll their eyes "There is no way that can be right, Izuki would have acted differently around her when she visited the class" Mina pointed out. "But... she kinda did, you seemed more... interested than you usually did, plus you running out of the room so quickly after class ended," he said while staring down Izuki "your her niece, aren't you?" "Come off it Kaminari, there's no way you are right" Evelyn commented "Well... about that..." Izuki quietly said, gaining everyone's attention "he's right"

"And you didn't tell us?!" Ev jokingly said, though she did seem a bit sad "I know I didn't say anything, but for good reason" Jack sighed "Xerneas is the #4 hero, and before he died Yveltal was the #4, so she didn't want her aunt to have to leave again, like her dad did years ago" Izuki nods, with tears staring to appear "I never knew my dad... he left when I was 4ish, at a point in time where I when I asked mom the first thing she thought of is that I was quirkless... he died because of heart problems when I was around 12. Both my dad and aunt had to be apart from me and mom because of how popular they were getting... my aunt felt horrible when she learned about what happened to me, and it only got worse when dad died, I'm the only living relative she has, and vise versa for me... so I'm really sorry for not saying anything, but I don't want to risk that info getting out and something happening" "It's alright Izuki, we understand" At that Izuki started to fully cry.

"You know... this might sound really bad, but... I never really understood the difference between someone being caring and someone being hateful while I was in the forest, I only started to understand the difference when I met my aunt for the first time" "But... you met all of us first, did you still not understand the difference then?" "No, I did. I..." she wipes her tears away a bit "I met her in the forest, she told me about her brother and how I was announced dead after I was taken, I didn't know she was family at the time, but after a while I realized she was my aunt" They all slightly jump when a thump is heard from the front door and Jack gets up to go check it, and after a while comes back with a troubled expression "What's wrong Jack?" "It's nothing, it can wait for now" Evelyn gets up and drags him to the other room

Evelyn POV

I can tell he's hiding something so I drag him into the kitchen to get some answers "Tell me what's wrong" His hand slightly finches toward his pocket, something was at the door "I-It's nothing Ev, I promise you" "You suck at lying, you know?" he looks down at the ground and hands me what's in his pocket... another note, this time with a small tear at the top, after reading it I hand it back to him, it was a single sentence, but it said a lot.
