Chapter 10

9.30am

The beach began to get busier as the morning went on. Leah and I had both arranged for our friends to meet us at the beach. We both went and reserved some sunbeds for when the girls arrived. It wasn't long before the girls slowly began to arrive.

'there you are stranger!' Em giggled slightly when she saw me. 'My girl, how's sicknote?' I asked referring to Nat (who skipped out on beach day with suspected heat stroke). 'she's not good B. I left her at the hotel but she's got everything she needs and insisted I came to join you. Hi girls!' Em said smiling and waving at Leah, Katie and Alex.

As the day progressed Leah and I kept stealing glances at one another. As I looked around at the girls causing chaos around us, I spotted Em coming back from the bar 'OH YOU BABE! Sangria baby!!!!.' I virtually screamed as Em drew closer to me. Nat came and sat beside me, I winked at her as I took a large sip of my drink. 'I'm just going for a dip, you coming?' I asked Em. 'I think I'll stay here.' Em replied. With that I gave her a thumbs up and made my way to the water.

I was carefully making my way into the water when suddenly I felt a huge wave of freezing cold water swish over me. 'WHAT THE FUCK!' I hollered as I turned around to see Leah standing there with a smirk on her face. 'that is NOT funny Leah' I mumbled, turning back around lowering myself into the water.

Emily POV:

As I made my way to the beach this morning, the radiant sun painted the sky. I noticed Bella near a cluster of colourful umbrellas, I quickened my pace until I could make out that she was laying out with another person. Leah. I could see Bella's smile from where I was stood, it was refreshing, to see Bella smiling, properly smiling. I stood and watched them for a few moments, there eyes kept gravitating towards each other like magnets.

Throughout the day, they were drawn to one another. Stealing glances of each other when they thought no one was looking. Every so often I could hear Bella giggling at something Leah had said to her. It reminded me of the girl I used to know, the girl who wasn't afraid of giving her whole self to others. The Bella that Nat and I fell in love with all those years ago - pre heartbreak Bella.

I had just returned from getting Bella a drink, she asked me join her in the sea but I'd not long applied some sun oil and compared to the tan Bella had very quickly developed I still looked like a milk bottle. Bella made her way to the sea, Leah followed after her a few moments later. I could see exactly what she was about to do, Bella who was completely unaware of what Leah's plan was. Slowly getting used to the water she was interrupted by Leah splashing her with the ice cold sea water. I saw Bella turn around face like thunder. I couldn't hear what was said but knowing Bella I am sure there were a few swear words in there somewhere.

Watching Bella and Leah interact with one another, they just seemed to click. I'm not sure if it was Leah's free spirited personality or Bella's adventurous soul but they just worked together, almost as though they had known one another forever. I liked what kind of person Leah was, she seemed to be exactly what Bella needs.

Bella POV:

Leah and I stayed in the water for a little while. She kept swimming over to me, any chance she got to physically touch me she took and ran with it. We were both bobbing along giggling about something Leah had said when she slowly made her way towards me. I gave her a sweet smile 'what can I do for you Miss Williamson?' I asked suspiciously. Leah let out a hearty laugh, her laugh made my whole body break out in butterflies. Leah grabbed me by my waist, my legs automatically wrapped around her hips. Her hands moved to underneath my bum to keep me supported, 'watch those hands Leah' I whispered in her ear. I heard Leah gulp before she relied saying 'wishful thinking B.' I lightly tapped her on the shoulder before resting my hands around her neck.
