Leah POV:The morning light spilled gently through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. I lay awake, the events of the previous day replaying in my mind like a looped tape. I had allowed the stress and frustration from injury to spill over, unfairly directing it at Bella, the one person who had been my constant source of support and comfort. The guilt that had simmered in my chest since last night now bubbled up, urging me to make amends.
Determined to show Bella how truly sorry I was, I quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb the peaceful slumber of my girlfriend. Bella has the day off work today due to a PPA day which meant I had all day to make it up to her. The first item on my agenda was to prepare a breakfast fit for a queen. It's no secret I'm was no chef, but I knew exactly how Bella liked her eggs and the exact ratio of coffee to cream that would put a smile on her face.
As the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the apartment, I set the table with care, placing a small vase of Bella's favorite flowers—daisies—next to her plate. It was a small gesture, but I hoped it would convey a world of apologies.
With breakfast ready, I gently woke Bella, leading her to the table with a soft kiss on her forehead. "I'm sorry, Bella," I began, my voice barely above a whisper. "I was unfair to you, and I want to make it right." Bella's sleepy eyes softened, and a small smile graced her lips, the tension from the night before melting away with my sincere apology.
After breakfast, I had planned a day full of Bella's favourite activities. We started with a leisurely walk in the park, hand in hand, enjoying the crisp morning air and the quiet that only the early hours could offer. I listened attentively as Bella spoke, my earlier misstep making me all the more determined to show Bella how much I valued her thoughts and company.
The park visit was followed by a surprise trip to the local art museum, where a special exhibit of art was on display. Bella, with her keen eye for art and design, was in her element, her enthusiasm infectious. I found myself seeing the art through Bella's eyes, gaining new perspectives on pieces I would have otherwise glanced over.
