Tonight's the night! The girls and I are having a girls night out. I was getting ready, I had just finished my hair - giving myself a bouncy blowdry and was just starting on my makeup. I had my outfit planned, a simple black long sleeve dress with some heels. I finished getting ready and jumped in the Uber to meet Emily and Nat.

The city's nightlife beckoned the girls and I as we embarked on an eagerly anticipated girls' night. Dressed in our favourite outfits, we navigated the streets with laughter and the promise of an unforgettable evening.

We explored eclectic venues, dancing to the rhythm of pulsating music and sharing stories that echoed through the dimly lit spaces. Cocktails flowed freely, and each sip seemed to carry the weight of countless memories.

As the night progressed, I found myself immersed in the contagious energy of the evening, laughter bubbling forth with every step. The bond between friends, strengthened by years of shared experiences, illuminated the night.

Amidst the revelry, my sense of time blurred, and the vibrant city lights became a kaleidoscope of colors. Unbeknownst to me, Emily and Nat exchanged amused glances as they realized I had reached the pinnacle of my celebration.

When the night concluded, I was in high spirits and slightly unsteady on my feet. With the room slightly spinning, I stepped out for some fresh air. Calling Leah to come and collect us. 'Hey babe!' Her soft voice sending butterflies all around my tummy. 'I think I need to come home. Too much alcohol. Can you come now?' I managed to slur back at her. With that at 11.30pm Leah, found herself driving into town to pick up the person I had missed so much that night, as Leah pulled up outside the bar, she welcomed us inside the car. The car became a canvas for our cheerful anecdotes and spontaneous laughter. Leah, had a twinkle in her eye, as Em and Nat thanked her for dropping them home. As we bid farewell Leah and I made our way back to Leah's house.

As soon as we got in, I went upstairs to get changed and when I came back down, Leah was already wrapped in a cozy blanket, settled onto her sofa with a contented sigh. Leah, amused and caring, pointed at the a glass of water she had got ready for me, recognising the effects of my spirited night.

The room echoed with laughter as Leah and I reminisced about the night's escapades. Leah, with a gentle smile, offered me a comfortable space to rest for the night.

The following morning, sunlight streaming through the windows, I awoke to the familiar surroundings of Leah's home. Memories of the previous night flooded back, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the adventures that had unfolded.

Leah, had a warm smile as she entered the room with a cup of coffee. As we shared a quiet morning together, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the friends who embraced my spirited moments and the connection that had led me to this unexpected but exciting relationship with Leah.

Little did either of us know the tensions that would unveil over the next few weeks.
