I walked towards the tour bus with Bill, where the rest of the guys and David were waiting outside. I wasn't really in the mood to talk with them, so I immediately stepped into the bus. As I plugged in my earphones and started listening to music on my iPod, I heard David telling Bill that he appreciated us coming back on time. Then, Tom and Bill started bickering near the bus, but I didn't pay too much attention to it. I just sat by the window, trying to divert my thoughts while listening to music.
While sitting in the tour bus, I reflected on the last thing I had done in my own world, which was listening to "Durch den Monsun." Maybe I should play that song tonight as I fell asleep. It might just help me shift back to my own world. As I pondered this, the rest of the band entered the tour bus.
Bill and Tom sat next to each other, still engaged in an animated discussion, and I couldn't help but suppress a smile at the sight of their typical twin rivalry. Georg and Gustav took seats in front of me, and I noticed that the atmosphere between them was much more peaceful and relaxed compared to the twins who were still bickering.
We were on our way to the concert venue. Upon arrival, we were escorted inside by security as usual. I bid farewell to the guys, but Bill specifically looked at me, his gaze filled with concern. He made a subtle gesture, asking if everything was okay. I knew he was worried about what had happened earlier that day, but I nodded briefly to indicate that I was okay.
I wanted to get to my dressing room as quickly as possible, knowing that Tokio Hotel still had a few interviews and meet and greets before the show started. This gave me some time to do more research on reality shifting.I opened my laptop and immediately began searching. My fingers flew over the keyboard as I browsed various online forums, blogs, and articles. I read about the different techniques and methods people used to travel between realities, trying to understand how this phenomenon worked. My eyes widened as I delved deeper into the subject, and time seemed to blur as I became obsessed with my quest for answers.
I was deeply immersed in my research, completely focused on my laptop screen when I suddenly felt someone place their hand on my shoulder. It was an unexpected touch, and I jolted, my heartbeat quickening. Bas leaned over to read what was on my laptop screen. I quickly closed my laptop, but it was too late; he had already seen what was on the screen.
Bas had read it and looked at me with wide eyes. "Reality Shifting?" he asked, surprised.
My heart pounded, and I felt caught. It was not something I wanted to talk about with everyone. I took a deep breath and tried to come up with an explanation quickly. "It's just something I recently got interested in," I stammered, hoping my explanation would sound credible. Bas raised his eyebrows and nodded slowly. "Interesting," he said skeptically.
But suddenly, a light seemed to go on in his head, and his eyes widened. "Wait a minute! You're a completely different Elise than just over a week ago... Have you switched places?"
I could no longer deny what was going on. I whispered hastily, "Quiet! I don't want more people to find out."
Bas leaned in a bit closer and spoke even softer, "You mean you've shifted between realities? How is that even possible?"
I sighed deeply and nodded a bit nervously. I vividly remembered how Bill reacted when he found out I came from another world, and it wasn't exactly positive. I didn't want anyone else to find out. "Okay, your secret is safe with me," he whispered. As if he knew what I was thinking, he continued, "But you have to tell me everything. And the most important question, who are you really?"
I sighed again, knowing I had to explain a complex story. "Okay, I'll tell you," I began hesitantly. "In the other world, the world I come from, I'm a completely different person. There, I'm 30 years old, working as a cleaner in a hotel. My life is simple and very different from here. I don't have a musical career, no worldwide fame, and I'm certainly not Bill Kaulitz's girlfriend." I looked around to check if no one else was nearby and whispered, "I'm indeed not the Elise who was walking around here just over a week ago."
Bas raised his eyebrows in surprise and asked, "How is this possible?"
I continued in a soft voice, "I discovered something called reality shifting. It's a way to travel between different worlds. Somehow, I ended up in this world, and I have no idea how it happened."
Bas seemed momentarily perplexed, but he nodded understandingly. "This is truly incredible," he muttered.
He looked at me inquisitively and asked cautiously, "Is there anyone else who knows about all this?" I sighed and replied, "Yes, Bill is the only one who knows my secret, and I'd like to keep it that way."
Bas seemed to understand that I was determined to keep my secret. "I won't say anything. But this is really crazy, Elise."
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and Bas and I looked at each other in alarm. I swallowed briefly and squeaked softly, "Come in?"
