POV Elise
I found myself in stage, and luckily Bill was standing next to me. Suddenly, the spotlight shone very brightly on me, and as a reflex, I covered my eyes with my hands. Beside me, I heard Bill saying that I could give a signal to soften the light. So I did. Apparently, Bas, the guitarist, was standing behind me. David signaled to Bill that he should leave the stage, and Bill whispered quickly, "You can do this Elise. Go for it."
I watched him as he disappeared into the backstage, and his thumbs up reassured me. I took a deep breath, looked ahead again, closed my eyes, and grasped my microphone. Bas started playing the first notes of the song, and to my great surprise, I sang with all my heart, full of emotion and conviction.
The music filled the venue, and I felt its power flowing through my body. It was as if I was being carried away by the music, and all the fear and nervousness disappeared at that moment. I sang as if my life depended on it, and my voice filled the empty hall with emotion and musical energy.
As I stood on that stage, I realized that I was living my dream, even though there was no audience yet. The music, Bill's encouragement, and my own passion for singing gave me the strength to carry on and fully enjoy this special moment. It felt as if I had finally found my own voice, and I was determined to make the most of this opportunity. The soundcheck was over, and Bill excitedly rushed onto the stage. In one fluid motion, he lifted me in his strong arms, letting me soar with a gentle swirl. It felt like the world around us was slowing down as I wrapped my arms around his neck, and our gazes met.
The sparks of excitement in his eyes were soon replaced by a warm, loving glow as he held me. My heart pounded wildly in my chest, and I could almost touch the romance of the moment. There was something magical about the way he held me, as if we were momentarily cut off from the rest of the world.
"You did that beautifully, Elise," Bill whispered softly, his voice filled with admiration. His breath mingled with mine, and it felt as if nothing else existed in the world but this moment between us.
Suddenly, our magical interaction was interrupted by Tom, who was also on the stage. "Hey lovebirds, why don't you get a room," Tom quipped.
Bill set me down on the stage and walked over to Tom. "What are you doing here?" Bill asked.
"I came to find you," Tom complained. "You're usually with us. Plus, I'm losing at foosball to Georg and Gustav. I need you, Bill."
I could see that Tom gave me a strange look, but I wasn't sure how to deal with it. So, I acted like I hadn't noticed.
"Yeah, I'm coming," Bill said to Tom, winking at me. "We'll teach Georg and Gustav a lesson."The three of us walked back to the dressing rooms. Bill was chattering away and seemed excited, but I could see that Tom's mind was somewhere else. I wondered if Tom had figured out that I wasn't the real Elise. Should I tell him as well?
Finally, we arrived at the dressing room with "Tokio Hotel" written on the door. Bill took my hand and wanted to enter with me. "Bill!" Tom exclaimed, "No girls allowed!"
"Don't be so childish, Tom," Bill sighed. "We're always together as the four of us before we perform, why does Elise have to be here now?"
I interrupted their discussion and said, "It's nothing, Bill. I just want to go to my dressing room," while briefly looking down the hallway and realizing that my dressing room was next to theirs. "I just need some time alone."
I entered my own dressing room and closed the door behind me. I had brought the laptop that was in my hotel room, and I decided to do some online research about what had happened to me. It was the only way I might find some answers about how I ended up here and if there was a way to return to my own time.
