Nicks Pov.

December, also known as the month of Christmas around the world.
Me and Charlie's favorite time of the year,
well, besides Halloween ( clearly ).
I was busy vacuuming the corner of our small living room on the first floor of our cozy flat.
You know the one we moved into during college.
Technically Charlie is my roommate as we split the bills, but we all know we're far more than just flat mates.
I finished Uni last year, while Charlie is currently working on his last year.
He has a small part time job at a cafe , aside from his classes , while I got a job at the University near by , coaching for Rugby.
We were both very happy,ofcourse.

But I knew something was missing from our lives, and I planned to make it happen tomorrow. Charlie will never suspect a thing, and I think that is the best part of it all.

We share my hoodies to no surprise, so I only hardly notice when he wakes up and comes grumbling in from down the stairs. His curls were wild as he gave up trying to constantly pat them down seeing as I'd eventually see them in a wild state anyway.

To be honest I loved how he looked in the mornings, I couldn't even hide the fact that I loved it. He stood there wearing my jumper, paired with his own pajamas.
I grinned as I turned the vacuum off, as he stood in the doorway in question to the noise.
He tilted his head, and rubbed his left eye, attempting to rub out the sleep.
"Nick... "
"I love that you're cleaning, I do, really..
but.. it's a bit early isn't it?"
I chuckled and went over to ruffle his curls,

"Char it's already noon, you stayed up late again didn't you?" I rolled my eyes before gently grabbing his warm face and kissing his forehead.
"maybe.. yeah.. okay, fine I couldn't help but read one more chapter" he chuckled as he had been caught.
"Char ..sleeping is Just as important as studying is. You gotta rest, silly" I tucked a wild curl behind his ear.

He just mumbled in agreement and shook his head yes, smiling in a sleepy state.
"So.. why are you cleaning so early?"
He asked in a way as if I might've told him before, but he'd forgotten the reason.

Noticing that I had moved our sofas around to one corner of the room, making it obvious that it was empty. He looked at me suspiciously.
"Guess" I said smugly before going to stand in the empty corner, and holding my arms out.

" oh!!" He laughed more awake,
I chuckled at his sudden burst of energy.
"The tree" he smiled warmly.
I nodded, and came back to his side to look at the empty corner from his point of view.

"Mmm wanna go get it today?" I asked nudging his shoulder playfully.
He smiled before kissing my cheek.
"Definitely"
