So here we are again
This feeling that all I gain
Is doubt
I can't seem to figure you out
And it's freaking me out
I'm begging for answers
But only in my head
I'm repeating everything over and over again, but instead
I'm just being haunted by this shadow of her
The girl you're maybe talking to
Telling her your darkest secrets
And deepest regrets
While I'm right here, waiting for you
As Olivia once said:
"It's one step forward, and three steps back"
It's like for you, something lacks
What else do you need, to be tucked in bed?
"But", "what if"...
Those seem to be the only words that come out of your mouth when we're together
It's like the possibility of our love is hanging over a cliff
Trust me, I'm trying my best to be better
I'm imploring you
Show me the path out of this darkness,
Hold my hand,
Tell me there's no need to be scared
And I promise you,
There will be no more shadows.
