CHAPTER FOUR, The Model Home
( Operation Abduct Ryan Atwood )

It was chaotic how fast Gina jumped out of bed. Seth yelled down the phone for her to get dressed and be outside her front door in five minutes and of course, Gina rushed to do so. When Seth asked, Gina answered.

She rummaged through her closet, throwing hangers along with clothes on the floor. Gina tripped, her foot caught in the strap of her favourite dress and landed with a loud thud. A hiss fell from her lips as she turned her head, waiting for any noise to indicate that either her brother or her dad had woken up.

It would look a little strange if her dad walked in right then. Gina was face down on the floor, a black hoodie half pulled over her head and over her Hello Kitty pyjama top, her hair was unbrushed and she only had one sock on.

No one opened the door. She was good.

Gina pushed up from the floor and adjusted her jumper so her arm was through the arm hole and not the head hole.

"Why am I doing this," she muttered, rolling her eyes as she looked at herself in the mirror. "Probably to spite Dan." She shrugged, her head tilting.

Gina wasn't angry per se. She was just annoyed that Dan thought that she couldn't look after herself. She's sixteen and even so, Dan left when he turned eighteen. He didn't know enough about Gina's current life to come to a decision. She appreciated it but no. It was her life and only she could tell herself what to do (... and maybe Seth). And right now Seth was making her run down to his house to abduct Ryan Atwood.

"Why are we here?" Ryan asked, his head leaning on the passenger seat window. His eyes drifted to the house, confused.

"To pick up George," Seth answered, a shit-eating grin sketched upon his face as he moved to stick his head between Marissa's and Ryan's headrests. "I told her to come to mine but she seems to be taking too long."

"You called her?" Marissa asked. Seth turned to look at the girl, his eyebrows raised.

"What was I supposed to call you instead?" Marissa rolled her eyes. "Exactly." Seth scoffed.

"Is she going to be long-" Marissa asked, her hand dropping from the top of the steering wheel to the bottom. The door swung open just as Seth opened his mouth to make an impatient comment. Gina pushed the door shut as quietly as she could. She had already tripped over and stepped on the creaky step of the stairs; one more noise and she was sure her head would be on a stick.
