CHAPTER TWELVE, the escape
( Comic-Con )

Gina was happy. Like completely, entirely happy. She had an amazing boyfriend and her brother was spending more time with Gina and their Dad. Marissa was somewhat back to her usual gossiping self, hanging around Gina and Summer. And Gina had introduced Summer to Stephanie - who seemed to be hanging around the Price's house a lot, specifically Danny - and they enjoyed their The Valley chats.

She hadn't thought once about-

No, Gina.

There was no need to think about that because she was happy.

Gina had made her way to the Cohen's house. Following the two boys into the kitchen, like their very own shared puppy. Their happy, quiet puppy.

"The plan is undeniable," Seth announced as he walked through the door. He held back to hold it open for Gina. She thanked him but held a strange face - the plan was not as good as he had thought.

"I'm denying it," Ryan

"I think I'd like to be on Ryan's side for this one, Seth," Gina admitted as she sat down on a stool. Seth looked at her and made a point to roll his eyes when she was looking.

"We have my mom's ranger, we have a perfect alibi," Seth spoke, ignoring how both people he needed on board were, in fact, not on board. "As me and George go to this comic book convention every year and we also have my entire life never doing anything wrong. Which completely allows my parents to give a false sense of trust."

"And my Dad?" Gina raised a brow. Seth moved to lean on the counter in front of her.

"Same reason," he explained. "You're more of a goodie too shoes than me." Gina rolled her eyes, copying Seth's previous actions.

"And you want to give that all away for Summer in a wet T-shirt doing body shots?" Ryan asked, his eyes flickering over to Gina's briefly, looking for any sign of annoyance or hurt, before looking at Seth. He staired, bored into Ryan's eyes.

"Sorry, I thought that was a rhetorical question," Seth paused. "Yes, Ryan, yes." He nodded, enthusiastically. "On the last weekend before school, one goes to Tijuana, it is tradition, it is a right of passage, and you know what else?" he asked, looking between Gina and Seth. "What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico."

"What happens in Mexico?" Ryan asked.

"I don't know, because it stays there, that's why we must go," Seth explained, a groan falling from his lips. Obviously frustrated that Ryan wasn't getting it. Ryan glanced over at Gina, who shrugged and rolled her eyes.

"Ahh... I don't know about lying to your parents," Ryan spoke, hesitantly.

"Okay, I can respect that," Seth nodded. He tilted his head. "I will lie to them."
