"I love you!" she yelled, her eyes slamming shut. If she shut her eyes it wasn't happening. She could pretend that it was a dream - no a nightmare. She was telling her childhood best friend that she loved him. Ha, definitely a dream.. if it was real...

CHAPTER TWO, the pilot ( old room )
"It's gorgeous, Georgie." Summer moved to stand behind Gina, she watched as Gina fiddled with the hem of her dress. A frown came across Gina's face. Tilting her head, she looked down at the blue dress again. It was for the fashion show that she was being forced to take part in. One that she had continuously begged to be left out of but Summer Roberts was just that pervasive.
It wasn't that the dress wasn't beautiful. It was. It was the Lorick GG, strapless, royal blue dress. The colour was a gorgeous royal blue and the fabric felt expensive. It was soft against Gina's skin and the fabric fit in all the right places. It was perfect for any girl who wanted to make an appearance, to stand out and look beautiful. With the right pair of heels and the perfect jewellery - no doubt ten times more expensive than the dress itself - the whole outfit was a dream. It was incomparable to the Snoopy pyjamas she was wearing earlier.
A dream that Summer had dreamed too many times. This was new for Gina. Summer allowed Gina to walk away from the Newport scene a lot but not this time. Summer loved the parties and the expensive dresses and she wanted Gina to experience them with her. Gina preferred to stand in the corner with a glass of champagne and with Seth Cohen who was constantly complaining. It was fun to make fun of the drunk adults but now she had to be the drunk adult - or well teenager.
"Yea..." Gina allowed herself to smile. Maybe she liked this a little more than she thought she would. God, how Seth would make fun of her right now. "It is." Summer's smile grew.
"Now makeup!" she screeched, grabbing Gina's hand to pull her along with her. Gina laughed.
"Do I really need makeup?" Gina asked as Summer pushed the girl into the makeup station and into a swivel chair. Gina looked at herself in the mirror, flicking her eyes up to the brunette behind her. Summer gestured for a makeup artist to come over before running her hands through Gina's hair.
"You're gorgeous baby, but.." Gina's eyebrow raised as a warning to her friend. Summer giggled, running her finger down Gina's nose. "We need money to raise and that means we have to wear ridiculous amounts of makeup to make sure we get the money we need." Gina rolled her eyes. Summer stepped to the side and jumped up on the counter. The makeup artist picked up a brush and began working on picking the perfect shade.
"They're all rich, Sum," Gina spoke, looking at her friend. "Not to mention how much alcohol there is out there. No matter how much makeup we wear, we are going to raise that money." Summer shrugged.
Partway through Gina's personal hell of having someone touch her face, Summer got up to go retrieve the 'goods' as she said. Leaving Gina alone to make the very tough decision of a pink lip gloss or a slightly darker pink lip gloss. Of course, Gina wore bright red lipstick on a daily basis so the darker pink was the obvious choice - but she was sure if Summer or Marissa were there they would have picked the opposite.
