CHAPTER EIGHTEEN, the perfect couple
( drinking again )
"So what exactly did my mom catch you guys doing?" Seth asked, sticking his nose into places it didn't belong once again. Gina didn't mind though. Marissa hadn't told her anything and when Seth brought up the events that occurred the night before, Gina's interest was peaked.
"Nothing," Ryan shook his head.
"Nothing?" Gina repeated. Ryan looked at the girl and nodded. She raised her eyebrow at the boy.
"So you guys haven't-" Seth lifted his hands and made a gesture that made Gina roll her eyes. She laughed when she watched Ryan's face contort into pure horror.
"No, we haven't even had our first date yet," Ryan answered
"Last night doesn't count?" Seth wandered.
"Nah, we're going' out Saturday night," Ryan told them.
"Oooo," Gina's voice raised in excitement. She placed her hand on Ryan's shoulder as they walked through the schoolyard. "Where you going?" Ryan looked over at her and shrugged. "You're really not bothered this morning are you?" Ryan laughed.
"Any date ideas?" Ryan asked, his eyebrow raised as he looked at her. Gina dropped her hand from Ryan's shoulder. She paused, searching through her empty mind for an idea. She shook her head. "See, it's hard."
"Good, great...but you-you have before right?" Seth asked as the three came to a stop. Gina gave Seth a pointed look, her eyebrow raised confused as to why that was the first thing to run through Seth's mind. "Okay, wow that's what I thought I just didn't want to jump to conclusions because my experience is sorta limited-" he paused, uncomfortable looking between his two friends. "And-"
"And what?"
"Was it awe-some?"
"Seth," Gina huffed, looking over at him. Seth didn't look back at her, he knew she was sending him a disapproving glance and he wasn't in the mood to send her one back.
"Which time?" Ryan asked, a sort of cocky look on his face. Gina's eyes widened. She saw Ryan as the sort of guy who got a lot of attention from girls so she had gathered he had had sex multiple times but it still shocked her.
"Ah," Seth made a noise. Gina looked over at him, it looked like it was not a noise he wanted to make. His mouth was open and the noise seemed to just fall out. "There were -there were uh I don't know, uh how many-how many times were there?"
"Same girl or different girls?" Seth looked over at Gina for help. But he quickly went back to his questioning.
"There were...different girls, how many-how many different girls w-were there?" he asked, shocked. Ryan huffed and began to count and even that made Gina's mouth fall open. Gina, like Seth, was still a virgin. But unlike Seth, Gina didn't mind. She had been overwhelmed with the pressure that teenagers like herself had to have sex and she simply didn't want that. Now she had a boyfriend, it had come back but like every problem in her life she chose to ignore it and push it to the side. "I have to sit down."
