Nicks pov:
Charlie has just recently fallen asleep as he is very tired from all the pushing he had too do.
Honestly he did an amazing job, both twins are healthy and there both so adorable!
My mum still dosent know that they've arrived, so I decide to send her a picture. With the caption, "hello nana sarah"
There's an instant reply.
S- "omg! There so cute, how's charlie feeling?"
N- "he's asleep right now but he looks to be doing good."
S- "good good, ill bring lily when he wakes up."
N- "okay see you soon"
S- "bye bye"
I smile at my phone knowing how proud my mum is and how proud I am to be a dad of 3.
It makes me so happy.
Suddenly one of the twins scream.
I spring uo and walk over to the bassinet.
"Alright Iris calm down baby" I say picking her up and gentally patting her bottom.
It takes a while but she soon settles down, I place her back in the bassinet and walk over to where charlie is sleeping.
He looks so good considering he's just given birth.
--30 minutes later--
Charlies pov-
I've just woken up from my nap to see my husband texting on his phone.
"nick" I say my voice dry from the gas and air I used.
He looks uo at me and smiles. That gorgeous nick smile that makes me melt everytime I see it.
"Hey baby, did you sleep well"
I nod my head yes whilst he walks over to me. "Would you like to sit up a bit"
"Yes please" I say. He smiles and presses the button that makes the bed tilt up.
"There you go, mum is on her way with lily now."
"okay"
He smiles at me and I smile back. He grabs my hand and strokes him thumb across it.
"I'm so so so proud of you baby, you've done so so so well, I can't believe you've managed to give birth to 3 kids, I couldn't even manage 1."
I smile my eyes tearing up a bit. He notices and brings me into a hug.
"Baby, don't cry please"
I just laugh and wipe my tears, then there's a knock on the door.
Nick goes to answer it and I hear him mumble a few words and walks away again. Lily following him.
"Hey baby! How are you?"
"I'm good pap! What about you?"
"I'm very well baby"
"good!" She smiles happily skipping over to me and sitting on the bed. "What's that?" She says pointing to my hand.
"It's a cannula, it's like an injection that stays in your hand"
"cool!"
"did you take your medicine you seem very hyperactive and your a lot more bubbly."
"I took my anxiety one not my adhd, I forgot."
"ah"
"Can I hold the twins pleaseeeeeeeeeee"
"Yes okay sit down and dad will pass one at a time, I need to catch up with nana sarah." I say stoking lily's hair out of her face.
"YAYYY!" She screams happily jumping up and down and wafting her arms about.
"Quiet down lily, there's other people in the hospital."
"Sorry I'm just excited"
"I know baby I know"
She walks off and sits in a chair waiting patiently. She holds them with much grace and it makes me smile.
I had a lovely catch up with Sarah. She's like my mum honestly, I've started to call her mum recently because of how much of a mother figure she is to me.
About an hour later visiting times were over and the room was silent again.
I sigh and lean backwards again.
"What's up baby?"
"Nothing"
"You don't just sigh for no reason."
"Honestly nick I'm fine I just sighed because I felt like it."
"okay, promise to tell me if somethings up."
"Promise" I say and fall back asleep.
Hopefully the next time I wake up I'll be able to go home.
