"Is Roseanne— is she into girls?"
Jisoo stopped brushing the soft red blusher onto her cheeks, looking at Bohyun with her brows furrowed through the mirror of her vanity.
He leaned against the door, eyes looking down almost in embarrassment. Whatever he was forming in his head was clearly too humiliating for him, but it was eating him up inside and he just had to know.
Jisoo laughed slightly. It came out shaky.
"We aren't close enough to talk about that just yet." Her eyes moved away from him, focusing back on her own face which was almost complete. Taking her lipgloss, she unscrewed the cap. "Why?"
He shrugged, opening his mouth before he closed it again. "I don't know if this sounds rude," He laughed. "But, you couldn't have been oblivious to the way she was looking at you. It was— she was clearly being sultry."
"What?" Jisoo asked, a little shocked. Of course, she knew how Roseanne looked at her. With those desirable eyes and that gentle smirk, she was sure was meant for her— but Jisoo had been giving those looks back and the guilt made her heart throb.
If Bohyun was aware enough to notice them, surely he was aware enough to notice Jisoo.
"Oh, come on." He ran his hand through his hair, wanting to rid himself of some frustration.
"I don't want you around her tonight, please. Just until I can confirm she isn't into you."Jisoo frowned— "But tonight is to celebrate her. I can't just physically avoid her." Standing up, Jisoo pressed her lips together before she walked towards her boyfriend with a smile. She leaned against his severely buff frame, looking up into his anxious eyes with her twinkling ones. "Besides, I only love you. Even if she was, surprisingly, into me, there is no way I would leave you for her. She may be into girls but I am not, so don't you worry your pretty little face."
"Okay," Sighed Bohyun, reciprocating Jisoo's smile. He leaned down to still a kiss from Jisoo's freshly glossed lips. "I trust you."
Jisoo grinned, pressing another kiss to his cheek.
Bohyun trusted her.
And there was nothing she could do to break that.
Nayeon downed her shot at the bar, rambling on about something Jisoo couldn't name— her girlfriend, her work, her life. Whatever it was, Jisoo was too immersed in the sways of her liquor to care.
Nayeon, being too intoxicated to join her friends on the dance floor, noticed that Jisoo wasn't paying any attention whatsoever to the interesting story she was telling.
"Are you alright?" She asked slurring her speech, watching as Jisoo's fingertips traced the edge of her shot glass. "You haven't touched your shot at all."
The brunette sighed, biting her lip and cocking her head to the side momentarily. "Bohyun said he wasn't coming so one of us has to stay sober to drive us home. It might as well be me."
Nayeon smiled, being too drunk to notice that Jisoo's feigned smile suddenly turned into a frown.
Bohyun decided he didn't want to hold an empty grudge against a woman who may or may not be into his girlfriend and decided it was best he didn't join them.
Jisoo agreed but a part of her was suddenly worried that without Bohyun there, she may do something utterly unacceptable under the influence and that's the true reason she decided not to drink.
"Well, I'm going to party!" She exclaimed rather loudly, spilling the few shots she had ordered all over the bar table. "Join us when you feel like it."
Jisoo nodded, Nayeon stumbling out of her seat and sluggishly making her way to her other drunk friends on the dancefloor.
Jennie and Lisa were both dancing with each other, laughing and having a good time whilst Seulgi merely danced on her own with a bottle of wine in her hand. Nayeon soon joined her, and the two swung their heads to the music.
And Roseanne?
She sat in one of the booths, silently sipping on a cup of piñacolada she had ordered earlier. Jisoo felt her legs rub together upon noticing that those intense brown eyes were staring right at her, running down her body and towards the cleavage she had purposely shown for her boyfriend.
Oh, how she wished he was here right now.
She blinked. And, suddenly, Roseanne's eyes were on the few women who danced, a rather large smile plastered on her face as she laughed and enjoyed the moment— even taking photos to show them once they sobered up the next morning.
Was Jisoo hallucinating?
Shaking her head, the brunette pushed her shot away before standing up. She needed to clear her head someplace quiet, someplace like the restroom.
Her friends were not in any state to be fretting about her and Jisoo relished that because as soon as she entered the bathroom, her own thoughts quietened down.
She made her way to the sink, turning on the cold water and splashing some on her face. Her heartbeat slowed down but Jisoo never remembered it picking up its pace— could it have been when she saw Roseanne hugged tightly by that skimpy dress? Or when her eyes glanced down to Jisoo's lips every time she talked? Or when Roseanne turned into her seat and Jisoo could practically see her underwear?
She slapped herself on the forehead, muttering something ridiculous to herself before she drenched her face in the ice-cold water.
Why was she thinking about this?
The bathroom door creaked open and Jisoo lifted her head up, eyes only widening as a slightly tipsy Roseanne entered. Her dress was bunched up against her thighs, a drunken smile forming on her face when her eyes met with Jisoo.
She staggered towards the brunette at the sink, hands coming to rest on either side of her.
Jisoo could smell the liquor on her tongue when she let out a slight laugh— something so quiet that it couldn't even be heard. Jisoo suddenly felt hot despite the cold water dripping from her face.
"Roseanne..." She muttered quietly, eyes wondering down the blonde's defined features and her plump lips. "I have a b—"
"—shh," Said Roseanne, bringing a finger to press against Jisoo's lips, mesmerised by how soft they felt against the tip of her finger. She held it there momentarily before she pulled away and snickered again. "I want to kiss you."
Jisoo's eyes widened, Bohyun's words ringing through her ears— no, not the ones about Roseanne's sexuality but the ones about trust.
Roseanne was drunk and clearly in the wrong mind. But Jisoo wasn't. She was completely sober and the thoughts of kissing Roseanne still ran through her head! She was stuck, both physically and mentally.
Roseanne's hands snuck around her waist and her head suddenly started to inch forward.
Would it be awful if Jisoo's hands rested on top of the blonde's, pressing into them deeper so the burning feeling she had of wanting to be touched by this woman would finally ease? Or was it awful that she started to tilt her head to the side, closing her eyes when her lips made contact with Roseanne's?
Her lips made contact with Roseanne's.
And Jisoo let the guilt sink in.
She had broken Bohyun's trust.
But why did it feel so good?
