The window was left open.
And Jisoo sat there on the edge of the bed, the clock barely reading past noon but all her clothes were off and the room wasn't her own.
Another body was beside her, sound asleep under the warm covers without a care in the world. Her sweaty hair fell on her face, lips parted as peaceful breath left her body.
Jisoo shook her head, knowing that she didn't have time to dwell on such beauty. Quietly, she swallowed whatever she was feeling (she wasn't sure if it was anything, she was practically numb at this point) and grabbed her clothes from the floor.
She pulled them quickly against her, slipping on her socks and shoes and making sure to leave the bed as quietly as she could— confrontation terrifying her.
She didn't have much to take. Only her phone, her keys and her wallet. Jisoo made sure to close the window, wanting the pretty blonde to be as comfortable as she was— being naked and under the covers that's all.
Jisoo didn't have time to care, though, and she was quick to just leave and shut the bedroom door behind her.
Jisoo hurriedly walked down the stairs of Roseanne's house, not remembering a single thing that happened last night. Had she drank? Maybe there had been alcohol involved, but she knew the kiss they shared at the restaurant meant something.
Something scary.
"Up already?" Jisoo was startled, having to stop herself at the bottom of the stairs and cautiously peer through the doors to see Sooyoung and her son in the kitchen. She wore a bright smile.
"Oh— uhm— I wasn't." Jisoo stuttered for a moment, looking back and trying to form a valid excuse for her messy hair and half-worn clothes. "Yeah, sorry."
"It's alright. Rosie isn't awake, is she?" Sooyoung turned her back, flipping the toast she was making in the pan.
Jisoo walked towards the kitchen, greeting the baby boy in the highchair with a soft kiss on his forehead. He had dusty blonde hair and the same mole Roseanne had on her neck— the two were practically the same.
"No, she's still asleep."
Sooyoung smiled vibrantly when she turned around to slide the hot toast onto a plate, moving it away from her baby boy who reached out for it.
"I'm happy you spent the night. She hasn't had friends like this for a while, I truly am grateful for you."
That's when the feelings came back. The guilt, the dishonour, the confusion— everything that was bubbling up inside of her suddenly felt the need to be thrown up and Jisoo felt it in her wobbly knee and sinking head.
"I— I really have to go," She awkwardly laughed, grabbing the things she had once settled when the small intention of staying a little longer arose.
Sooyoung pouted and frowned. "Do you have to?" When Jisoo nodded, she rushed to try and stop her from leaving. "I can wake Roseanne up for you. She can drive you home."
"No, it's okay!" Jisoo exclaimed, flustered and anxious. Roseanne could wake up at any moment and ask questions Jisoo didn't even know the answer to.
Why did she kiss her?
Why did she come home with her?
Why did she sleep with her?
All of the thoughts raced through Jisoo's mind, only halting when Sooyoung softly held her hand in her own two, a pleading look on her face. And Jisoo calmed down a little— refreshing to know Sooyoung was clueless about what had happened between her and her sister.
