Red Room

"You know, it means so much to me that you came back for me," Alexei said after minutes of silent pleading for Wanda to "let his mouth go".

"No, no, we came to get you so you could tell us where the red room was," Natalia said, leaning on James' shoulder. The soldier ran his metal fingers through her hair with a gentleness that he had for her and only her.

"Oh, how am I supposed to know, hm? That nasty Dreykov, I served him for how many years, and he dumps me away like trash—bah!" Alexei grumbles.

"Cut the bullshit and tell us before I kick your ass off this...whatever this is," Yelena said

"Melina probably knows," James spoke up, surprising everyone. "She was his architect, the closest to him more than anyone."

They arrive at Melina's homestead at Saint Petersburg.

The Red Room operative was shocked to see the Winter Soldier alive, and together with her daughter.

"You two were legends," she said. "Everyone spoke of your story, even those who loathed you."

Wanda and Yelena hang out, showing each other cool tricks while Alexei bothered Steve and Clint stood at the side, waiting.

One thing led to another and they were brought to the Red Room. The scientists there were more than eager to experiment on Steve, but were ultimately defeated by Wanda.

James fights the Taskmaster, who turns out to be Dreykov's daughter, who was being controlled by her own father. He and Steve manage to take her down, but she refuses to give in and continues to struggle against them.

Natalia handles the other Widows, getting stabbed in the shoulder and is nearly taken down until Yelena frees them using the Red Dust. Wan

Everything seemed to be going quite well until Melina destroys one of the engines.

"Everyone, slight change of plans, I've destroyed one of the engines and we're going into a controlled crash," the operative says casually as she strolls away from the chaos she created.

Hearing this, James punches the Taskmaster, grabbing her by the arm and flinging her out of the Red Room before searching for Natalia.

"Natalia, where are you? Are you okay?"

"Chill, Soldat, she's with me!" Yelena yells over the noise. "We're jumping out right now."

Natalia, Wanda and Clint turn. "We are?"

Yelena drags them out and they fly down straight into open air, occasionally falling onto debris midair which slows down their fall.

Wanda uses her magic to ensure they land on the ground safely.

But there's still one problem left.

Antonia, now without her mask, stands before the trio, prepared to attack.

Natalia feels her world start to spin as blood continues to seep from her shoulder, Wanda supports her, while Clint and Yelena get ready for a fight.

Antonia charges towards them, targeting Clint, who manages to dodge in the nick of time and shooting her with a paralysing arrow.

Yelena seizes the opportunity, breaking the final vial of Ref Dust and freeing Antonia from her father's control. The assassin drops to the ground, reaching for Yelena, asking if her father is gone, and sighing in relief when she knows he is.

Natalia's knees buckles and she finally collapses from blood loss. James arrives in time and catches her, scooping her up and applying pressure to her wound.

Antonia joins the remaining Widows and they bid farewell to one another.  The Widows decide to free any Widows out there.

Steve calls in the quintet which arrives on autopilot. Those who remain enter and fly back to the avengers compound. Much to Yelena's chagrin, Alexei and Melina tag along. The super soldier yaps about his apparent adventures with Steve, until Wanda knocks him out.

She helps to heal Natalia's wound and they all sit in silence on the journey back.

Alexis and Melina fall asleep and so do James and Natalia. The Winter Soldier has his metal arm wrapped protectively around the Black Widow's waist, refusing to let her go.

Wanda shows Yelena some magic and they sit in a corner, talking softly.

Clint lies on the floor and falls asleep while Steve sits at the front, gazing at the view.

It is peaceful.
