"You have a sister?!" Tony said. "And you didn't tell us."
Natalia rolled her eyes. "I'm not obliged to tell you anything dipshit."
Tony gasped as if he had been wounded. "Rude," he scoffed.
Yelena squinted at Tony. "Ah! The billionaire philanthropist! Anthony Edward Stark, born on 29 May 1970."
"Hey! What the hell!" Tony exclaimed. "How do you know that?!"
"Pshh, she probably even knows about the time you got drunk and flew a jet and crashed into a tree," Clint snorted jokingly.
"I do."
"Oh shit."
"So, what are you guys doing?" Steve asked. "There's an awful lot of weapons here."
"We're planning to strafe an area," Yelena replied, frowning when everyone else looked at her confusedly. "Strafe, you know? Attack? атака?"
"Ooh! You should've just said attack," Clint realised. "Are we coming along?"
"I'm not bringing along a bunch of nutballs," Yelena answered nonchalantly. "More specifically, blasphemous pagans."
"Excuse you! What does that mean again?"
"I volunteer as the saviour of mankind to aid you in your glorious quest!" Thor declared. "No need to thank me ladies, just doing my job."
"But we didn't even invite you," Yelena said.
"B-But..." Thor tried, speechless. The God of Thunder was obviously not used to being rejected by women.
"So...you five are just going to go on a mission and expect us to await your return?" Bruce asked.
"Well we technically didn't ask you guys to wait for us, but sure," Natalia said, smiling. "We'll be quick. Nice of you to wait for us, by the way."
She and Bruce exchanged a smile.
James cleared his throat and took a seat beside Natalia, moving some weapons away.
"Moving on," he said, shooting a glare Bruce's way. "We don't mind if you guys join us, actually. But only one or two of you should come with us, the less people the better. Perhaps Steve should come."
"How about the green guy?" Yelena suggested. "His smashing can help us."
"No," James said quickly. "Ahem, I mean...it'll be quite hard to escape with a Hulk, no offense. Steve is our best choice. And Clint."
"Me?" Clint said in surprise.
"Hey! What about me——" Tony was cut off as his mouth was magically sealed shut.
"How strange, I seem to be hearing things lately," Wanda mumbled. "Maybe I'm lacking sleep."
Tony pointed to his mouth vigorously as he looked accusingly at the sorceress.
"Why can't I come as well? I can fly us out of danger! The old Asgardian way," Thor exclaimed before giving the group of five a wink. "I can also bring the lovely ladies out for a meal afterwards where we can boast about my glories and trophies——"
"You mean you're still single?" Yelena blurted out. "From what I know, you had a girlfriend called Jane Foster. What happened with her?"
"Perhaps it's a good thing not to bring it up," Steve whispered.
Thor let out a cry of distress as he started to bawl loudly, smashing his head against the wall repeatedly. "Oh Jane! How could we break up?! How could anyone not fall in love with a muscular hunk like me?!"
"Huh, I suppose he suffers from a God complex," Yelena scoffed. "So America guy and arrow guy are coming with us. The reason why we can't have anymore people is because we need to rescue Alexei."
"Alexei? Папа? (Dad?)" Natalia said. "I don't see why we need that fat piece of..." she glanced at Wanda. "Ah...never mind."
"We need him. He works closely with Dreykov and he coached Alexei, the other one. If anyone knows where the Red Room is, it's him."
"Fine."
James' eyes lit up. "Ah! I remember him. He did all the brainwashing, and the 'pep talks'. But after a while, Dreykov put him in prison. I'm not quite sure why."
Natalia rested her head on his shoulder. "He probably got tired of him. I would've handed him over to the United States. тот опарыш." (That maggot.)
Bruce looked away at this sight and started to fiddle around with his glasses.
Yelena and Wanda shared a knowing look.
'You think...?' Wanda transmitted.
'I wouldn't put it past him. I bet the Soldier knows. You saw the glare he sent him, right?'
Wanda nodded. 'Of course.'
The two nodded in unison as they continued their conversation.
"Are those two alright?" Steve asked, puzzled. "They seem to be doing some dance with their heads."
"Bet you wish you could do that," Clint chuckled.
"I can! I'm quite the expert in dancing, mind you. Many ladies would fight to dance with me, but I've only ever loved one."
"Here goes," Thor groaned.
"Oh, her locks were as smooth as silk, and they moved like palm tree leaves in the gentle wind as she danced," Steve sighed. "Her full name started with a P and ended with an R."
"Ah, Peggy Carter," Yelena noted. "Doctor Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Carter, Ph.D., was one of the most prominent agents of the Strategic Scientific Reserve during and after World War II and one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Originally a code-breaker working at Bletchley Park, she joined the Special Operations Executive following her brother's death."
"Can you warn us before you spew our facts? It's giving me a headache," Tony said.
"My apologies, I'll stop that strange noise again," Wanda clipped as she waved her hand, promptly sealing the philanthropist's mouth shut once more.
"We should get ready," Pietro said. "We might not have much time. The sooner we get this done, the better."
"Oh right," Wanda agreed.
"Alright folks, get ready. We leave in an hour," Steve announced. "Get whatever you need, fast. We don't have much time left."
And with that, he strode off.
"Geez, does he always do that?" Yelena whispered.
"I don't know, I've barely been here," Wanda replied just as softly.
Yelena snorted. "What a strange guy."
