“Careful,” Jeonghan hisses as he steps out of the car, Seungcheol holding his hand in a firm grip. It's been three days since Jeonghan regained consciousness, and now he was finally being discharged. He couldn't wait to get back to his house. His home.

"I told you to let me lift you, but you just don't listen," Seungcheol chides as he helps Jeonghan walk towards the door.

"It's okay, I want to walk. Besides, I'm fine now," Jeonghan insists, though his steps are still unsteady. He wasn't fully healed yet; sudden movements still made his head spin, and the bandage around his head was a constant reminder of his injury.

All he wanted was to be active and energetic again.

Seungcheol sighs but doesn’t argue further, instead tightening his grip on Jeonghan’s hand to offer more support. They make their way slowly up the path, Jeonghan’s eyes fixed on the familiar sight of his front door.

As they reach the door, Jeonghan pauses, taking a deep breath. "It feels like I've been away for so long," he murmurs, his voice tinged with emotion.

Seungcheol gently squeezes his hand. "You’re home now. That’s all that matters."

With a nod, Jeonghan pushes the door open and steps inside, the comforting aroma of his home wrapping around him like a warm blanket. He lets out a contented sigh, feeling a sense of peace he hasn’t felt in days.

Seungcheol follows closely behind, watching Jeonghan’s every move with a protective eye. "Do you need anything? Water? Food?"

Jeonghan shakes his head. "Just... stay with me. I missed this place, but I missed you more."

A small smile tugs at Seungcheol’s lips. "I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be right here, with you."

Together, they walk further into the house, Jeonghan leaning slightly on Seungcheol for support. Each step feels like a small victory.

As they step into the living room, they’re met by Jun, Jeonghan’s overly dramatic bodyguard. His eyes widen at the sight of Jeonghan, and he rushes over, tears already streaming down his face.

“Sir!” Jun cries, throwing his arms around Jeonghan with excessive enthusiasm. “I was so scared! I thought I’d lost you forever!”

Jeonghan winces slightly at the tight hug but pats Jun’s back reassuringly. “I’m okay, Jun. I’m here now.”

“I thought you hated me?” Jeonghan teases, and Jun’s lips tremble as he clings to Jeonghan. Seungcheol’s hand itches to grab his gun.

“I don’t! I love you—”

“You what?” Seungcheol cuts in, pulling Jeonghan out of Jun’s hold. Jeonghan feels a laugh bubble up inside him.

“I-I mean, I admire you—”

“Try again,” Seungcheol says, pulling his gun out. Jun’s eyes widen, and Minghao immediately steps to his side, pulling back slightly.

Jun pulls back, still sobbing. “I have to tell you something,” he chokes out between tears. “When you were unconscious, I… I kissed your forehead! I thought you might never wake up, and I couldn’t bear it.”

“You what now?” Seungcheol raises the gun, about to aim at Jun when Jeonghan stops him.

“Stop! You are not about to shoot my kid right in front of me,” Jeonghan says, and Seungcheol just gapes at him.
