Jeonghan strode into the jewelry shop, the gleam of the polished cases reflecting in his sharp eyes. The day always seemed to shine brighter when he indulged in a bit of shopping, especially when it involved spending his husband's money. Today, he was on a mission to find the perfect friendship bracelet for his best friend.

"Jun, silver or gold?" Jeonghan's voice was a silky purr as he approached the glittering showcases. The light from the display danced across the facets of the gemstones, casting prismatic hues around the room.

Jeonghan's gaze flitted from one showcase to another, captivated by the array of bracelets. Some were delicate, adorned with tiny diamonds that sparkled like celestial bodies, while others were bold, featuring intricate designs and vibrant gemstones.

He lingered over a particular set that caught his eye—a stunning collection of silver and gold bracelets, each with its own unique charm.

One silver bracelet stood out among the rest. It was elegantly simple, yet its craftsmanship was exquisite. The band was made of polished silver, thin yet sturdy, with a small, intricately carved infinity symbol at its center. Tiny sapphires were embedded around the symbol, adding a touch of sophistication and a hint of color.

The gold bracelet, on the other hand, was more extravagant. Its band was slightly wider, with delicate filigree patterns winding around it. At its center, a small heart-shaped charm dangled, encrusted with rubies. It was the kind of bracelet that demanded attention, radiating warmth and opulence.

"What do you think?" Jeonghan turned to his bodyguard, who was staring at the store with glittering eyes.

"Uh?" Jun snapped out of his daze, focusing on the bracelet Jeonghan was showing him. He nodded. "It's beautiful, sir."

Jeonghan nodded in agreement and turned to the saleslady. "Can I get a name imprinted on this?" he asked.

"Of course, sir. What name?" she replied.

"Joshua," he said. The lady nodded and took the bracelet, heading to the back of the store to arrange the engraving.

"So, what did you pick?" Jeonghan turned to Jun, who looked at him with wide, confused eyes.

"Uh?" Jun echoed.

"What, you didn't pick anything for your husband?" Jeonghan asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jun shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "I'll do it once I have a lot of money in my hand."

Jeonghan's eyes narrowed, his tone growing icy. "I have money now, and my husband is rich enough to own a city. Buy what you want, and I'll pay," he said with a casual shrug.

Jun blinked, then shook his head resolutely. "I can't, sir. It's too much."

Jeonghan's expression darkened, and his voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "Jun, I'm not asking. Consider it an order. Pick something, or I'm slicing your throat."

Jun felt a chill run down his spine. He knew Jeonghan well enough to understand that defiance wasn't an option. With a resigned sigh, he began to browse the showcases more intently, each glance fueled by a mix of fear and urgency.

Jeonghan watched him, satisfaction curling his lips into a cold smile. He was pleased to share a bit of his fortune with someone he trusted and cared about, even if it required a darker touch.

"Please bill it up," Jeonghan said as he handed the diamond studs that Jun had picked out for Minghao along with the bracelet he got for Joshua.

"Just a minute, sir," the lady said. Jeonghan nodded and plopped into a nearby chair, Jun standing silently beside him. It felt liberating to be out in the air without Seungcheol's constant, scrutinizing gaze.
