Junhui sighed as he entered his small yet cozy apartment and saw his husband, Minghao, sitting on the couch, engrossed in his laptop.
Smiling, Jun dropped the bag of food that Jeonghan had prepared for him on the counter and walked over to Minghao.
"Hey, babe!" Jun exclaimed, leaping onto the couch. Minghao glanced at him briefly before returning to his work. "Hi, you came?"
"Not yet, we need to go to the bedroom for that," Jun teased, groaning as Minghao smacked him with a pillow. "You're disgusting," Minghao retorted, deadpan. Jun pouted, sprawling out on the couch with his head in Minghao's lap.
"What are you doing? Give me some attention," Jun whined, crawling closer to Minghao like a cat. Minghao sighed, shaking his head as he closed his laptop.
"I thought you had night duty with Jeonghan?" Minghao questioned. Jun nodded. "I did, but then they decided to have sex, so I left..." He shrugged, and Minghao rolled his eyes.
"Seungcheol can never keep it in his pants," he mumbled. "We shouldn't either, come on--"
"Geez, Jun! Calm down. This is our first appearance, and you're acting like a sex addict," Minghao said, nudging his husband hard. Jun's face morphed into one of mock pain.
"Baby, I don't need a cameo to look like the main character. I am the main character. These other guys are nowhere near my level, and you should thank the gods that I fell in love with you," Jun sang dramatically. Minghao just stared at him with a mixture of exasperation and affection.
Minghao couldn't help but chuckle at Jun's antics. "You really are something else, you know that?" he said, ruffling Jun's hair.
"Something else? Try 'the best thing that ever happened to you,'" Jun replied with a smug grin, snuggling closer.
Minghao rolled his eyes but smiled. "Alright, Mr. Main Character. How about you tell me what's for dinner? I see Jeonghan packed you something."
"Oh, right!" Jun said, springing up from the couch and heading to the counter. "Jeonghan made us some of his special kimchi stew. Said it was perfect for a chilly night like this."
Minghao's eyes lit up. "That sounds amazing. Let's eat, and then maybe we can do something about all that pent-up energy of yours."
Jun winked. "I like the sound of that plan."
They sat at the small dining table, sharing the warm, fragrant stew. The cozy atmosphere of their apartment wrapped around them like a comforting blanket. Jun chatted animatedly about his day, his stories punctuated by Minghao's occasional laughter.
After dinner, they cleaned up together, their movements synchronized from years of living in harmony. As they finished, Minghao turned to Jun with a mischievous smile.
"Now, about that pent-up energy..."
Jun grinned, taking Minghao's hand and pulling him toward the bedroom. "I thought you'd never ask."
Their laughter echoed through the apartment as they tumbled onto the bed, their playful banter and affectionate touches a testament to their deep bond. The world outside faded away, leaving only the warmth and love they shared in their little haven.
Jun and Minghao didn't have any tragic backstory. Their love story began when they were both assigned as Seungcheol's bodyguards. They started as colleagues, their bond forged in the heat of protecting their charge.
