The four youngsters stood in the leader's office with their heads bowed. Some of them had been more soiled by the battle than others, especially Kai and Taehyun had been hit by food. Some pieces of potato were still stuck in their hair, and the clothes they were wearing were completely soaked, even dried out in some places. Yeonjun, who by now regretted getting involved in this argument, was also trying to pluck some noodles out of his hair as he looked around the bright room. He had never been here before and was amazed at the chic furnishings, even if they were too bright for his taste. He took in the large, elongated desk with fresh flowers in the large vase, the light blue curtains and much more.
Min Yoongi, who was sitting on a large armchair in front of them with his elbows propped up on his knees, sighed heavily.
Yeonjun had never seen the third of the three leaders before and was extremely surprised that his voice alone had brought the residents to a halt. It was remarkable because the man with the black, almost shoulder-length hair didn't seem like someone who showed much authority. He seemed calm, yet with a certain sternness, and it was immediately apparent that the two young people who had been living here for several years had respect for him.
Taehyun, however, didn't look as if he knew him and had merely averted his eyes, staring with folded arms at the large work of art hanging above the sofa.
Soobin, whose light gray shirt was stained with tomato sauce, looked as if he was going to start crying at any moment. The corners of his mouth were pulled down and his big doe eyes looked regretfully at Min Yoongi, while Kai had arched his back confidently and showed no remorse.
"What was that?" asked the rough voice of the leader. He looked at the boys' faces, even though he didn't know one of them yet.
But he knew how often he missed the move-ins, because he wasn't here often.
Not anymore.
"Or rather, why?"
Before Kai could even fire off with an explanation, someone rushed in the door, completely out of breath. It was Pak Kia, who grimaced in pain at the sight of the four of them. Her friend also entered the room and closed the door behind him. You could immediately tell how tense Pak Kia was as she stood behind the armchair where her best friend was sitting. She ran a hand over his shoulder and said quietly, "I thought you weren't coming until tomorrow."
"I was planning to," Min Yoongi replied curtly, then leaned back in his chair and nodded to Jeon Jeongguk, who was watching the dirty figures.
His black shirt even matched his lover's perfectly, making the two of them truly look like a dream team. "Wow," Jeon Jeongguk grinned, looking at each of them and couldn't help but shake his head with a giggle. "What was going on there?"
"It would have been nice if it had been for fun, Gguk," Min Yoongi grumbled, the serious undertone making the youngsters stand still.
It almost made them tremble.
