Third POV:
Vanilla, Cream, Charmy, Espio and Silver all entered the Chaotix's home. Charmy and Cream immediately running upstairs to play with Charmys plethora of toys. "Make yourself at home Ms. Vanilla, I would say the same to Cream but it seems she's already ahead of me." Espio hummed, eliciting a small snicker from Silver. "Espio, Silver, there you are! I was wonder where ya ran off to." Vector bellowed from the staircase, quickly making his way down to greet the guest. "Ms. Vanilla." Vector coyly hummed, acknowledging her presence with a soft head bow. "Vector, lovely to see you. I was actually heading my way here before I ran into these two at the park!" Vanilla spoke. As Vanilla and Vector conversed Silver and Espio slid their way past the two and up the stairs. "Where are we going?" Silver chirped, tilting his head sideways as he trailed behind Espio. "Well I was planning on relaxing in my room." Espio hummed, his tail flicking once reaching the final step. "Oh, I'll head back downstairs then." Silver mumbled, turning away from the chameleon and taking a step back down the stairs. "Well, I suppose you're welcome to join me, that is if you'd like to." Espio smiled, a bigger smile adorning Silvers face as he whipped his head around to face Espio. "Yes, I'd like that very much!" Silver beamed, stifling a smile
Espio slowly opened his bedroom door, a loud creek eliciting from the rusty door hinges as it opened. "Wow.." Silver muttered under his breath, his eyes widening at the sight of the room. It was definitely smaller compared to the other rooms, not leaving a lot of open floor to walk around on. The walls were a grayish black and the floors were dark wooden boards. There was a window right above the bed, letting the orange light of the sunlight spill into the room through the blinds. A small rug laid in front of his bed along with a night stand with a sprawled out chapter book. A few pieces of clothing hung out of a dresser against the wall, Espio swiftly moving over to tidy the area. "My apologies for the mess, I wasn't expecting for others to be in here." Espio mumbled, shoving the clothing back into the drawers they hung out from. On top of the dresser were a small pile of unraveled bandages, a hefty stack of books, a knife sharpener and three little shuriken stacked on top of each other. "What's all this?" Silver pointed towards the pile of unraveled bandages.
"Don't worry they are not for injury, they are simply extras for the bandage I use for my shoes and gloves." Espio lifted his arms forward, revealing the bandages on the interior of his glove cuffs. Silver hummed contently, his eyes averting to other areas of the foreign space. "Whatcha reading?" Silver chirped, picking up the open book on the nightstand and skimming over the words on the pages. "A novel Vector has recommended me, I'd be willing to read it aloud if you'd like." Espio grabbed the books bookmark off the floor, resting it on the nightstand in replacement of the book. "Sure, sounds fun!" Silver beamed, handing the book back Espio. Espio climbed into his bed, sitting up against the wall and patting the space beside him for Silver to join. Silver happily got into the bed, exhaling a sigh of relief as he laid his head against the pillow. "Comfortable I see." Espio hummed, watching a small smile form on Silvers face. "Don't get me wrong, the couch is great and all but gosh, I forgot how great it felt to lay in a bed." Silver laughed, his body seemingly melting against the mattress. Espio sighed, returning to his previous page of the book and clearing his throat. As Espio read the book aloud he watched as Silver fought to keep himself awake, his eyelids drooping heavily every few seconds only to get snapped back open. Nonetheless Espio continued to read aloud, knowing fully well Silver would not last very long in such a situation.
Just as he suspected, within 20 minutes of Espio reading Silver was out like a lightbulb. Softly snoring with his arms on top of his stomach and his head tilted to the side. As gently as he could possibly be, Espio slowly crawled around Silver unconscious body, slipping off the bed and resting his book on the nightstand. He grabbed an extra blanket off the end of his bed, draping it over Silver before slowly walking out the door and ever so gently shutting the door.
