Third POV:
An energetic knocking emitted from the front door. Espio, already knowing who was on the other side, swiftly stood up from his seat, stifling a smile as he unlocked the door. He swung the door open, immediately being met with Silver jumping at him and wrapping his arms around his neck. There bodies twirled around his a circle before Silver grounded himself back onto the floor. "Hi! I hope I wasn't gone for too long!" Silver squealed a large smile spread across his face as he stared up at Espio. "Silver!" Charmy cheered from the couch, hopping off the cushion and running to Silver. He clung onto Silvers legs, causing Silver to wobble a bit. "Woah, hey there Charmy!" Silver smiled, holding onto Espios forearm for support. "Welcome back kiddo!" Vector chimed, folding the page of his book and tossing it to the side of his desk. "It's nice to have you back Silver." Espio hummed, his attempts at concealing his expression failing miserably. "It's nice to be back!" Silver giggled, ripped Charmy off his legs with his telekinesis. He lowered his ears as Vector patted him on the head, being careful as to not getting stabbed by his crown of spikes atop his head. "Has Sonic left already, I would have thought he'd stay for a moment longer." Espio looked outside the front door, noticing the lack of anyone else's presence. "Yeah, he said he wanted to make sure Tails got to bed at a normal time tonight." Silver hummed, gently lowering Charmy back down on the floor. "It is getting late huh, guess it's about time you get to bed too." Vector grinned, quickly snatching Charmy up and throwing him atop his shoulder. Charmy giggled, kicking his legs and flailing his arms to get out of Vectors grasp. "Since you two are older you can stay up a little longer, but no all nighters." Vector lectured, already beginning to walk up the stairs. "Hey, that's no fair!" Charmy retorted, pouting and crossing his arms as he was hauled away against his will.
"Guess it's just you and me then, huh!" Silver chirped, flopping onto the couch. "I suppose it is." Espio hummed, smiling as he sat beside Silver. "We should watch a movie!" Silver beamed, quickly but quietly rushing upstairs to retrieve a blanket. Espio sighed, resting his back against the armrest as he grabbed the remote control and scrolled through the cable channels. He looked through the shows on, the majority being late night cooking shows or some random telenovela. "I'm back!" Silver scurried back down the stairs, his arms wrapped around a big ball of pillows and a blanket. "Is all this necessary for a singular movie?" Espio chuckled, grabbing one of his pillows from Silvers and resting it behind his back. "Yes, I want to be comfortable." Silver sneered, plopping himself in Espios lap whilst laying out the blanket. "Oh- uh.. you are..ahem- You're sitting here?" Espio stammered, his eyes trailing down Silvers back before snapping towards the TV. "Well of course! How else are we both gonna get some blanket?" Silver giggled, almost making Espio feel stupid for even asking such a question. He draped the blanket overtop of his and Espios laps, scooting closer and laying his head back onto Espio chest. With a shaky breath Espio rested his hand overtop of Silver, using his other to scroll through the channel selection. "Ooh, what about that one!" Silver pointed up at the TV, leading Espios gaze to the title "Scream". "You are aware that is a horror film, correct?" Espio inquired, Silver gently nodding his head with a smile. "If you insist." Espio hummed, selecting the movie. He dialed the volume down a bit in hopes as to not wake up the other inhabitants with the sounds of screaming.
*
The movie had been running for about half an hour, the sky outside completely pitch black and the only light being emitted from the television. Silver yawned, staring at the knife being plunged into the woman chest, a blood curdling scream following moments after. Espio on the other hand was not taking the film so well, his heart beating faster by the minute. His tail subconsciously began wrapping around Silvers thigh, his hands balling up into weak fists as he gazed at the gory sight. Silver shifted a bit, feeling a tight squeeze around his leg. He lifted the blanket up, looking down at Espios tail coiled around his thigh. "Are you.. scared right now?" Silver giggled, gazing up at Espio who was looking a little pale. "Nonsense, I am the embodiment of valiant, a mere film is nothing I cannot handle." Espio scoffed, his tail only coiling further as the sounds of blood splatter echoed through the living room.
