"So we booked into a different hotel, there is no rooms believe it or not. I wonder if someone leaked your accommodations. You better make sure management are doing their job properly. I'm just getting in and settled, and then we will head out. Should be there for sound check. I can't wait to see you. Love you. "
You turn to your companion. "New York is a beautiful place to be, but it's really busy, I suppose it's because of the New Year celebrations." Once you put your luggage into the rooms, it's time to  head downstairs for a quick refreshment.
catching sight of yourself in the large glass doors, you check your appearance. Your long dark hair is shiny and straight. Your skin is pale and flawless. Beautiful lips, soft and delicate.  You have been told you are really, very pretty.  Your companion is tall, with dark hair too and a strong jaw. It's very handsome and maybe a little stiff.

On getting to the venue for sound check She is told the guys won't be on for more than 40 minutes. They decide to stay and enjoy the music.
"They must just let anyone one in, look, there's a group of girls over there, look like they have been drinking," he says to her. She looks  to where he's pointing. "I know when girls go out together, they get loud and have fun, but it shouldn't impact those around them," he continues. "Yeah, you're right. When the girls and I hang out, we over eat and have drinks, but that's a different kind of fun. Maybe we shouldn't judge." She is diplomatic and moves the conversation on. There's something about the group of girls, though. It's like she knows them somehow.
The music starts up, but there's no one on stage. "Must be filler music," she says, "this is when the host is talking or they go to an advert." The guy just nods.
The group of girls let out a shriek. She's kind of envious of them. They must be locals and having a day out. In Korea, girls or women don't tend to be as free or loud as their Western counterparts. It's the whole country, and even the men are reserved.  But this is how she grew up. Yes, her family was a little different from others. She was fortunate enough to come from a family where both her parents worked hard and could put their children into activities that they had an interest or talent for. If it wasn't for them pushing their kids, then she herself wouldn't be doing a job she loved, and her brother, he may have a totally different life. She thinks back to their childhood. It was fun but not without its hard times. When her brother told her that he was part of a dance crew that battled other groups for mostly notoriety, sometimes money, she was shocked but happy he had for use for his passion.

On the other hand, their father wasn't so pleased. But once he realised that his son was truly happy, he didn't stand in his way. Their mother loved them dearly and only wanted them to be happy and be able to pay their own way in life. Yes, their parents were happy that their kids had found their way in life. Their son was well known now. He's part of a successful K-pop band, and their daughter has a growing fashion label and skin care line.

Another loud giggle from the girls. "Maybe they are fans. It is busy, so it's possible." The groups linguistics, Nuna, walks over to the group of girls. She hugs one of them and greets the others. They have a little interaction. They try to get her to dance with them, but she uses the "I can't, I'm working" phrase. She bows, and they bow back. 'Interesting, they know a little Korean culture.'
It's now that makes her way over to you. She bows and says hello. She tells you that the guys will be another 20 minutes. That after you can go back stage where its warmer. You hadn't realised it was cold until she said it. Nicole,
The next song plays, and you can't help but watch the group. They are laughing and having fun. The girl Nicole hugged sees you looking. She smiles and bows her head to you. You smiled back. 'I have a feeling I know her, but I don't know why' you tell this to your friend, and he replies.  " Maybe it's your gut telling you she's no good. The group is getting louder. "
You look at her again. This time, you really feel the cold wind. Rubbing your hands together, you blow on them, too.
