Foul
Awkward was the only thing I could describe about tonight's dinner.
"Besides baseball, what else do you do, Logan?" Mom started the interview a little while ago.
"I'm doing an internship sa Psych Centre inside the campus, ma'am," Logan answered.
"The Psych Centre was founded by the Maxwells, mom, remember?" Ate Bri remarked.
"Ah, right. I forgot about that," mom laughed it off, wiping her mouth with a paper towel.
My stomach has been growling for days.
Especially when mom is here watching every calorie I eat.
Logan's face looked at me in worry as he glanced at my clean plate.
"I'm okay. Please excuse me."
I needed to get out of that scene. It was just too much for me to take in.
I grunted at the guy. "What do you want?"
Logan suddenly feigned a chuckle.
I snapped my head at him. "Are you serious right now?"
"Paano ba yan? Magiging magkapatid na tayo," usal pa niya.
I pressed my lips in a thin line. Why is he so casual about all of these? "Even better.
Just then, I felt his hand stopping me by the arm. "Ballerina..."
Nilingon ko siya. "What now?"
"Tungkol sa sinabi mo..." he paused, his hazelnut eyes speaking to me.
I clucked my tongue at him. "You're right, makakahanap nga ako ng iba.
And I'm pretty sure she won't even care.
