"Seriously, Jess? Why didn't you say something? Who, or what, was it?" Jess gave her dad a 'really?' look before continuing.

"It was Castiel. And he did it because I asked him to help you and he said that this was the only way. The thing we were hunting was the goddess Melinoe. She sends your ghosts after you, the deaths that you regret and still haven't gotten over, until the guilt overwhelms you and kills you." She explained and again everyone began talking at once.

"Who's Castiel?"(Mary)"What is Castiel?"(John)"What does she mean, 'we were hunting' Dean?"(Lisa)"How come she got to come with you?"(Ben) "Jess, how do you know about this?"(Sam)

"Uh, no. First of all, you were not hunting this thing young lady, your uncle and I were. Lisa and Ben, the closet she gets to these things is the motel room and the impala. And Castiel is an angel, he's an old friend of mine and Sam's. And, Sam's right how do you know about this?" Dean answered all of their questions before turning to his daughter. She gave a small smile, trying to seem as innocent as possible, but Dean saw right through it. "Jess, tell me how you know, now." Dean said sternly.

"When you and Uncle Sam got back to the motel room, you made it through the door and collapsed, both of you. I was so scared, I mean, you were both shaking and moving, even though you were unconscious. So, I may have called Cas and he told me about the whole 'Melinoe and her ghosts' thing. He said that sending you to see your ghosts where they are supposed to be is the only way to make it better." She said softly and Dean sighed.

"Jess, please tell me that you asked Castiel to send you here with us." If she didn't ask Cas, then he wouldn't have sent her and that would mean that his little girl was dead. He sighed in relief as she nodded, but his relief bubbled into annoyance. "Why? Jess, you know that if there's ever an emergency you lock the room up and call Garth or one of the other hunters. If Sam or I are in a dangerous situation, you do not come along." He scolded her and she looked down slightly, tears beginning ti build in her eyes.

"I'm sorry Daddy, but I was scared. I didn't want to be left alone any more. All the bad things happen to me when you're not there to protect me. I knew that, no matter what, where ever we are, I can count on you to keep me safe." She said and Dean pulled her in for a hug, holding her against him.

"Jess, if you ever got hurt because you went where I told you not to go, or because you followed me somewhere you shouldn't be, I don't know how I would face myself. If something were to happen to you, and it was my fault in any way, I don't know if I would be able to live with myself." Dean whispered to her.
