Sam held his crying niece, shocked at her reaction.
"Hey, its okay." He said trying to comfort her but she just shook her dead.
"No, its not! Its not!" Her voice was shaky as she protested.
"I promise you, your dad is not going to forget about Ben and your mom, alright? It would take amnesia to make him forget them. Come on, lets go back to the room. What do you say?" He asked and she slowly stopped crying and released the death grip she had on his shirt with a nod. They silently walked back to the room where Dean was waiting with the now awake Ian.
"Jess, what do you think you were doing, pulling a stunt like that?" He demanded, coming over as they came in.
"Sorry." She muttered, not sorry at all. She coolly studied Ian where he was sitting at the table and continued. "I'm not that hungry. I think I'm just going to shower and go to bed." She walked past Dean with a cold air and the bathroom door slammed behind her. Dean immediately turned on Sam.
"What was that? What did you do to my sweet little girl?" Dean demanded.
"I swear, Dean, I didn't do anything." Sam defended himself and Dean sighed, wondering what was going on with his girl. "So, Ian?" Sam asked his brother and Dean nodded.
"Remember that cop, Molly Glass from about 5 years ago?" Dean said and Sam nodded.
"The one that you had a one night fling with. While Jess was missing." Dean nodded, confirming that it was the same woman. "So, he belongs to the two of you?" Again Dean nodded. "Then, where's Molly?"
"That's why they called me. She was in a car crash and slipped into a coma a few days ago. She has no siblings and her parents are in an old folks home so they couldn't take him. There was no alternative." Dean said before looking at the little boy. He had short black hair like Molly but his freckles. And his eyes were a nice blue/green color. The bathroom door opened and Jess walked out.
"Good night Uncle Sam." She said. "And Dad." She said as an after thought not even acknowledging her new little half brother sitting in front if her as she climbed into one of the beds and fell asleep facing away from them all, one hand clutching her locket and the other wiping away tears that were falling down her face.
