Katniss and Peeta sat together, waiting for Effie and Haymitch to tell them if the games were still going on or not after Peeta dropped that baby comment during the live show, neither of them had said a word since they returned to their room again.

"There's no way they'll cancel. They can't," Katniss told Peeta, he knew she was probably right but it was worth a shot.

The two of them stood up as Effie and Haymitch entered, Effie held two boxes in her hands.

"Baby bomb was a stroke of genius. Unfortunately, Games are still on. This is goodbye, for now," Haymitch told them both, Effie looked and sounded like she was on the verge of tears. "Presents for the boys," she said holding the small boxes out to both of them, "What is this?" Haymitch asked as he opened the box to find a gold bangle, "Your token. Remember? Hair for me. Pin for Katniss. Gold bangle for you. And for Peeta, the medallion that we talked about," she responded to Haymitch's question.

"Thank you, Effie," Peeta said genuinely.

"We're a team. Aren't we?"

Katniss nodded, putting on a smile for Effie's sake. "And i'm so proud of my Victors. So proud," she said as she hugged the two of them.

"You're so... well, you both deserved so much better," she said through tears, "Thank you, Effie," Katniss told her, "I am truly sorry," she said as she sobbed before she walked off, leaving them and Haymitch alone. Her feeling somehow guilty as if it was her fault when they both knew it wasn't, it was just how it was. It was all President Snow's fault.

"Thank you, Haymitch," Peeta said sounding a bit choked up as he hugged him, "For everything,"

Haymitch gave his back a few smacks before the two pulled apart, "Any last advice?" Katniss asked their mentor before they got shoved into the games one last time.

He nodded at Katniss' words, "Stay alive," he turned around to walk off, "Haymitch, wait," she said to him as he turned around again, she gave him a hug and whispered to him, "Remember our deal," she pulled back and looked at him in the eyes, "Do whatever it takes to keep him alive. Promise me,"

Haymitch nodded, "Okay," he responded before continuing on, "Katniss, when you're in the arena, remember who the real enemy is," he told her, stroking her hair before he walked off again.

There was a knock on the door, Finnick and Naomi turned to look, only to find Haymitch lurking there as he stared at the two siblings.

"Haymitch Abernathy, do what do we owe the honour?" Finnick said sarcastically, "I have to speak with you both," he said sounding quite serious as he moved into the room, standing in front of them as they sat down on the couch.

"You two are the strongest siblings in the Games. You both won at fourteen years old, the youngest ever..," "We know you didn't just come here to talk us up to our faces, Haymitch. What do you want from my sister and I?"

"I need to make a deal,"

Finnick and her were curious, "What kind of deal?"

"I need you to keep Katniss and Peeta alive. Especially Peeta, do anything it takes," he told them, "What is in it for us?" Naomi questioned, looking at the man stood in front of them, "I'll be watching over you all, I can speak to the sponsors, help keep you all alive longer by getting you stuff. All I ask, is that you help keep them alive as well,"

Naomi looked towards Finnick, looking for any sign that could be him rejecting Haymitch's offer, but he didn't even hesitate to respond.

"Fine,"

"Do I not get a say in this?" Naomi asked him, "You liked Katniss, did you not?" Finnick raised an eyebrow at his sister, confused as to why she wouldn't take this offer if it meant they got more stuff from the sponsors, "Well, yeah, but do you trust her?"

"No, but if it means I can help you survive longer, then I'll take the risk," he told her, giving her shoulder a squeeze.

"We'll do it," Finnick told Haymitch.

"Perfect," he responded before digging into his back pocket and fishing out a gold bangle, he threw it towards Finnick, before digging to find another thing out his other pocket, he threw Naomi a gold bracelet he had scrounged up before he went to speak to them so they both had something gold to wear.

"Wear that tomorrow. Make sure you show Katniss it, she'll know what I've done. Make sure she remembers who the real enemy is, got it?"

The two nod, "Yeah, got it," Finnick said back to Haymitch, he shared a knowing look with the two siblings, knowing how awful it must have been to know one of them wouldn't be coming out alive, this would be their last moments together, "I wish you both luck," he told them before giving them a half smile and leaving them be again.

Naomi's stylist walked her to the hovercraft, getting inside together before getting her tracker put into her arm. Once they got to the arena she got changed into the suit left out for all the different districts, speaking to them one last time before getting in the tube to be brought up into the arena.

She began to be lifted up into the arena, watching the light get closer and closer, she looked around once she reached the top to realise she was surrounded by water.

"Let the 75th Hunger Games begin. May the odds be ever in your favour. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one," The cannon fired, Naomi dove into the water swimming towards the weapon that was laid out for her, her and Finnick was the first two to make it there in the centre. He instantly went for his trident while she went for the small daggers and her spear, Katniss appeared beside them with an arrow pointing straight at them in her bow.

The two held up their wrists, showing the gold jewellery, a smirk forming on Finnick's face.

"Good thing we're allies, right?"
