Naomi woke up in a small orange room, noticing a few monitors on the wall that kept track of her healing process, finding herself laying in a hospital bed.
She could hear muffled crying coming from outside her room, making her want to go and check who it was, maybe it was Katniss missing Peeta, she knew she might need some comfort.
She sat herself up, lifting the blanket off of her and slipping out of the bed. She opened the door and peered out, not seeing anyone around. She took a few steps out, still hearing the muffled sobs as she got closer and closer, the door to her room gently shut behind her.
She found where it was coming from, it wasn't Katniss' room. She stood in the doorway and looked at him, sitting there on the edge of his bed, looking a bit distraught.
"Finnick," she said coldly, he didn't look up at her. He could tell she was pissed just by hearing the tone of her voice. She was still mad at him, not only for leaving Peeta and the rest behind, but for drugging her just minutes after he told her. He couldn't look at her face anymore, every time he did it reminded him that he had failed them, Johanna and Peeta. He had left them all to be captured, all because he wanted to save his sister.
"I wanted to go back for Peeta and Johanna, I.. but I, uh... I couldn't move," he told his sister, looking up at her at last when he finished his sentence, "They have Annie, too. They took her," he said to make it clear he was suffering too, not just Naomi.
She shook her head, "No..," "Yes," he responded, fidgeting with something in his hands. "And where's Mags?" She asked needing to know, Finnick couldn't even look at her while he said it, "She's gone, Naomi. They killed her,"
Her heart sunk, she felt tears instantly running down her face as he said it. "No, no.. you're lying,"
"I'm not. I would never lie about that and you know it," he told her, in disbelief she would even say that. She was just in shock. She had volunteered to save Annie and Mags, not for her to end up being captured by the Capitol anyways and definitely not for Mags to end up killed, she and Finnick both knew Annie was going to be even more traumatised than before. He looked away again, "But Annie.. she's, uh..," he sniffled, "She's in the Capitol,"
