''Hey Brooke, Blake. Hey Rakeboy. I see nobody uses the doorbell still .'' Mr. Sawyer stated from the computer screen.
Brooke, my brother and I were asked by Peyton to come over.
''Papa Sawyer, the scruffy thing's working for you.'' Brooke smiled.
''Looking good old man.'' I smirked, giving him a wink.
''What are you guys up to so early?'' Mr. Sawyer asked.
''I don't know. Peyton just asked us...'' I trailed off.
''Oh no, you know what? You'll find out when you get home.'' Peyton grinned at her father.
'' Not even a little hint?''
''Uh Uh. Not even. I love you ''
Brooke and I waved good bye to Mr. S as he began to leave.
''You better. Love you too, honey.''
''Bye.''
''So what's the surprise?'' I asked.
''I need your help with something. Come on.'' Peyotn instructed.
The three of us follow Peyton to her driveway, where she uncovered an old awesome car.
''Damn that's nice. Is this your dads?'' Luke practically drooled.
''Yeah, he hasn't driven it in like a year though. Do you think you can get it to run?''
''Of course he can. And he's going to look good doing it too in a tight little wife beater, maybe some grease smudges.'' Brooke bit her lip.
'' And I was thinking maybe you could help me wash and wax it and Blake could help Luke.. ''
''Glad to help.'' Brooke clapped her hands.
''Good thing I grew up at Keith's shop.'' I smirked.
''I just want to do something nice for him. Since he's coming home.''
''Alright, I'll go get my tools.'' Luke said.
I leaned against the driver side door as Luke tried to crank the car.
''Well, it's not the battery.'' Luke determined.
'' It's probably the starter, though.'' I looked at Luke for confirmation l.
''Well you can fix that right?"Brooke asked.
''Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem.'' My brother nods, his hands gripping the wheel.
''It's an amazing car.'' I admire as Brooke got in the car
'' It's an amazing guy.'' Brooke said as she pulls him in by the necklace for a kiss.
''Is that what you got me in this thing for?''
''Yeah... ''
''Gross, guys stop.'' I grimaced.
