"It's open."
Keith and I walk into Clays beach house.

"Hey."
"Clay! My man!" Keithy high fives the man before going to plop down on the couch.

"Keithy, my dude!"

"I tried calling you. It went straight to voicemail." I state walking closer to the blonde as he sends me a sheepish smile.

"Yeah. I, uh, kind of threw my phone in the pool."

"I went by your office. I thought maybe your assistant could help you somehow."

"It's okay."

"No, it's not okay. It sucks... turtle eggs." I grimace, my eyes shooting to Keithy who sends me a thumb up.
"Turtle eggs? Really?"

"I don't know. It sucks something. Anyway, she wanted me to tell you that, I guess, somebody got sick, and it's really serious. Joe Turner's mom."

"What?"
"Okay. I don't understand. Tell me again what's happening."

"Joe Turner's mom is sick." Keithy announces for Clay who nods his head.

"Okay, not so good for Joe Turner's mom, but what does that mean?"

"It means you did it. I mean, well, you haven't yet, but there's hope."

"Awesome. For what?" I asked.

"Okay, Joe Turner is a center for the Sacramento Kings, and he's from a little town near Raleigh."

"Got it. I still don't get it."

"Okay, let's go. You will."Clay motions for Keithy and I to follow him out the door.

"Great. Where are we going?" Keithy asks as the two of us slowly make our way out the door.

"To a little town outside of Raleigh... And to buy me a new blackberry. Hey, by the way, thanks for this."

"You're welcome. I have no idea what the hell is going on. Let's take my car, Keith needs his seat."

"Hi, Joe. Clay Evans. I'm an agent with ISC."
Keithy and I take a seat as we watch Clay talk.

"We got the flowers. Thanks."
The boy dismisses Clay quickly.

"Well, uh, actually I'm not with ISC anymore. They fired me."

"Tough break."

"Yeah. Those seem to be going around. How's your mom?"
"She has cancer."

"I'm sorry."

"They say she has less than a year. I don't know what I'm gonna do. That's my moms, man. She's all I got. You ever lose anyone close to you?"
Keithy lays his head on my shoulder and his tiny hand grips mine and gives it three squeezes.

"Yeah."

"How do you deal with that, man? What do you do?"

"You remember the good things... And the days that you did have. Joe, would it help you if you could play closer to home next season?"
"Mommy I have to use the restroom."
"Okay baby let's go."

Clay checks the rear view mirror to make sure Keith is asleep before opening his mouth to speak, "I was talking about pens. The last thing I said to Sara before she died. She went to grab a drink, and I was babbling about the pen I was using. And then she was gone. Sometimes I think that we waste our words and we waste our moments and we don't take the time to say the things that are in our hearts when we have the chance."

"Sara knew you loved her. You told me you held her and you danced with her before she died, and... I couldn't think of a better way to say goodbye."
I let a couple of moment go by before speaking again, "The last time I saw Kayson we kissed and shed tears. I sent a letter to break up with him. Im not sure he ever got it before he died, part of me hopes he never got it. I pray that he didn't die with a broken heart everyday."
"He knew you loved him too, you know? You said that he told you that you were the only person to make him feel loved, to feel like he had family. He knew he was loved by you." Clay assured me as he laces our hands together.

"Alright. You ready to change my brothers life.. again?" I look at Clay as we approach Nathan's house.
"Yep."
"Well let's go then people." Keith sighs as he marches forward, ready to see his twin who spent the day with Haley.
"Uncle Clay." James grins as Kayson runs to me.
"Mommy!"

"What's up, Buddy? Oh, man, I missed you. Not as much as your aunt Blake missed you." Clay says as James hugs me too.

"Something we can do for you, Clay?" Ken asks with snark.

"You? No. But there is something I can do for Nathan."

"We don't have time for this."

"Sure we do." Nate blows the man off.

"Nate, I never said this to you or Haley, but I was aggressive and arrogant negotiating your deal, and along the way, I forgot that I work for you. And the client comes first. Now, it sounds like my former agency got you a pretty good deal to play overseas, but I always thought of you as an NBA player. And that was always the dream. Right, Jamie?"

"Right. 'Cause Spain is caca del toro." Jamie admonishes as Kayson and Keith nod along with him.

"So this morning, I negotiated you a deal to live that dream... in the NBA... with the Sacramento Kings."

"Nathan, we have a good deal here." Ken mutters.

"That's true. You know, $7 million is a good deal to play overseas. Or you could take $15 million from the Kings. Now, the deal does come with a few conditions. Three, actually. One, you have to leave ISC and sign with me. You'll be my second client. Two, your deal comes with a no-trade clause. Gonna need you to waive that... Because if you sign with the Kings..."

"-they've agreed to trade you and Joe Turner tonight! I'm sorry. I love that part." I squeal with a laugh.

"They've agreed to trade you and Joe Turner... to the Charlotte Bobcats." Clay finishes.

"What? Oh, my God! Thank you" Haley shouts.

"Oh, my... you're gonna be a Bobcat! Oh, I threw my jersey away." Jamie exclaims as he's tackled into a hug by his cousins.

"Clay, how did this happen?"

"With a lot of help from Blake... Which brings me to my last condition. I want to be your agent, Nate, but if you're gonna sign with me, you need to know that I plan on falling completely and insanely in love with Blake. All right. I got to go to work."

My grin doubles as Clay smiles at me before brushing his eyes over the twins.

"Say goodbye to Grandpa Dan." I urge the twins as we stood face to face with him.
"Why are you leaving?" Keith whispers lowly.
"I've done some bad things, kids, and I'm sorry." Dan crouches in front of them.
"It's okay Grandpa. We forgive you." Kayson assures before hugging him.

"Did you mean what you said? About falling inlove with me?" I ask Clay as we cuddle on the couch, the kids already tucked in bed.
"Insanely in love. Yeah."
"Good cause I'm falling with you."

"Moving?! To California?" I frown as I FaceTimed Skills.
"Girl you gonna wake that man up beside you. You know I was trying to get Julian to hook me up."
"Well yeah I just didn't know it's happen so fast. It's gonna be so wierd without you".
"Least I'll have Peyton and Luke out there."
"Very true. Let's have lunch tomorrow, okay?"
"Okay white chocolate. I Love you girl."
"I love you too chocolate thunder."
