"Look, we're not talking about a rookie getting his 8feet wet. This I is Nathan Scott. Just look at izfhis numbers, and I think you'll understand why we feel that he's earned a four-year deal. Yeah. Or we might consider a three-year if the price is right, But a two is not gonna get us anywhere. I hope so." Clay hangs the phone up as I pass him a cup of coffee.
"Mmm. Thanks. Best part of my day."
"Me or the coffee?" I ask leaning forward.

"Maybe a little bit of both."

"So, any good news?" I ask as I cook eggs into plates for the twins and Merida.

"Uh, we'll see. Now I just have to wait. Mm."

"How would you feel about waiting with me?"
"I could do that."
"EGGS!" Merida yells as she drags Keithy to the table.
"Clay!" Kayson grins huffing his leg.
"Kayson!"
Clay smiles down at her before looking at me.
"I wanna take you somewhere after we drop them off at school." I state.

"What is this place?" Clay looks around.
"This is Abigail's Home for Misunderstood Kids. Tom and I volunteer here a lot."
"Blake!"
I smile at Kate. She's a fourteen year old who's been here for little over a year.
"Kate! How are you sweetie?"
"Great! I'm actually going home in a couple of days. Mom and dad say that they're excited to have me home. Family counseling has really helped."
"I'm glad honey." Kate gave another wave before she took off again.
"Wow. Great spiral, great listener and great mother. Now you're like a hot Mother Theresa."
"You know you just called me hot."
"I'm a old nun way. So what do we do here?"
"Baking. I have a little baking class I do with a few of the older kids."
"Well let's go cook."

"Just lemme make a delicious drink so we can name it after me." I stare down Chase as Nate and I sit at the bar at Tric later that night.
"You can't come behind here." The man shrugs.
"The hell I can't I'm part owner." I furrow my brows.
"Silent partner. Plus you'll drink all the booze." The man smirks at me as Clay bounds over.
"What's up, bud?" Clay nods at my brother before his eyes slid over me.

"Hey. I hope that grin means you had a good day at the office."
"I'm hearing good things."

"That's awesome. I don't think I could take any more bad news today." Nathan gives a sad smile.
"What's up? You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just -- it's family stuff."

"All right. Chase, my man, I'm in a good mood. So I'm gonna have one of those tasty blue brain blasters."
I shook my head "no" at Clay quickly.

"You could have told me they sucked."Chase narrows his eyes at Clay.

"Come on. Who said that?" Nathan acts surprised.
"I did. He deserved it for not letting me behind the bar." I shrug as Tommy walks over.

"They sucked, and you know it. And that's why, from now on, I'm officially just bar manager. And making a strict rule of no Blake Scott behind the bar." The man shoots a satisfied smirk at me.

"But who's gonna bring me my shots and beers?" Clay frowns sitting beside me and sneakily resting a hand on my thigh.

"All right. Hey, Grubbs. Guys, this is Grubbs, my new bartender. Clay here wants a drink. What do you think?"

"shot of tequila, chilled, and a beer, imported. No -- hip domestic." Grubs nods his head.
"Nice."
"Wow. That's pretty impressive."

"Yeah, I know. That guy sucks."chase jokes shooting me a look.

"Here. Here Blake, shot of Tito's and a Coors."

"Thanks, Grubbs."

"Well...to you. Thanks for all the hard work. And here's to next season not being a contract year." Nathan cheers.

"Congrats, man. Cheers."

"Hey, Nate."

"Hey."
"Quin! The love of my life." I hug her before she stands beside Tom.
"Hey Tom."
"Hey, Quinn. Oh, hey, check this out. Grubbs, this is Quinn." Tom motions with a grin.
"Hey."
"She needs a drink."
"White wine's gonna make you both happy."
"Wow. He's better than Zelda." Quinn admits.

"Hey! Oh, my Gosh! I've been gone a long time. But, uh, I'm back. It feels good. Anyway, I want to show you guys some of my new songs. And, uh... thanks for showing up. I hope you like it." Haley calls out before starting her show.
I sway to the music with Quinn and Clay before the man was grabbing my hand.
"Come on."

"You totally can't see it? Look closer. I swear that there's a face on the moon." I gesture to the sky as we once again walk the beach.

"Oh, yeah. Look at that. It -- wow. It's entirely made of cheese, too."

"Oh, yeah, and you totally suck."
"And you totally crack me up. And I -- I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. You want to go for a swim?"
"Says the man who knows I'm afraid of the dark."
"What if I'm afraid, too?"
"Okay, I'll play. What are you afraid of?"

"To move on and to feel something for someone now. But I'm tired of being afraid. I..."

Clay pulls me into a kiss before resting his forehead on mine.

"There are so many reasons that I shouldn't have done that. But I've wanted to for so long."

"Mm-hmm. Me too."
