''Okay. I'm dropping Kayson and Keith off at daycare, before heading to school. Your mom's here, but she has to go to the cafe later, so i'll come over at lunch. Bring you some food.''
''Thanks Kam.'' I smile, wincing slightly.
I hated this. Being in pain. Pain was never my forte, mainly because I'm a big wimp.
''I'll see you later, boobear.''

"Haley!'' I cheered, glad she face timed me. We both had our laptops propped up.
''Blake!"'
''I'm glad we're doing this. I'm bored as hell. Never thought I'd say it, but I miss school.''
''Me too. So have you saw the news?''
''Yeah. The guy, Daunte, was a bookie.'' I shrugged.
''Yeah... Should we reach out to his family?''
''Haley... He hit us. Why should we feel bad for that?'
''Yeah, but Dan killed him.''
''Can you blame the man? His daughter, daughter-in-law and grandson almost died.'' I gave a ''what the hell'' look.
''That doesn't make it right, B.''
''You're right. But I don't feel sorry that he's dead. We could've died Haley. Nate could have lost his wife, child and sister. My kids could have lost their mother. So yeah, its sad what his family is going through, but don't make me feel bad for not caring if he died.''

My sister was waddling into my room with the help of my mom, tears storming down her cheeks.

I cringed in pain as I shifted slightly to make room for the other girl.
''I'm going to get the twins. Kam's working at the Cafe. I'll be back later.''
As mom left I looked at Haley.
''What's wrong?''
''It's Nathan's fault.''

''He knew Daunte. He borrowed some money from him, because we couldn't pay our bills and Dan turned him away. Plus Deb was on drugs and all he had to do was shave a few points off. Just win by less. Daunte wanted him to lose the State Championship. ''

''Yeah, so us being hurt was Daunte's revenge, Nate told me he beat the man to death, not Dan.''
