He's different (Rewrite)

Minor Scale

After receiving the message from Spider Queen, M/n had excused himself to read it. 'The little one has not done anything yet, she just keeps going on about how Destiny has plans for someone. I fear she may mean you, so watch yourself.'

M/n frowns at the memory. It's been a few days since he had received the message, but things have been quiet. The silver simian had finally found out about Wukong being on 'vacation', and to say he's displeased with the Sage is a severe understatement. At least Macaque has been keeping Mk's training going, on top of Wukong's "remote lessons".

The shop is five minutes from opening when M/n enters and sees Pigsy frantically running around while Mk cleans. "Uh.. Mind explaining what's going on?" He asks, his tail flicking curiously. "There's a food critic on their way!" Pigsy says frantically.

"Who is it?" M/n asks, his tail flicking curiously. "Uh, GoldenCicadaYumYum." Pigsy says, confused. That sends M/n into a fit of giggles and he says, "That's Tang. Dunno why he felt the need to call in to give a review." Mk gasps and exclaims, "Oh! Maybe he wanted to spend some time with Dadsy! Without all the customers to stress him out!"

M/n hums thoughtfully as his left two ears flick, and murmurs, "That would make sense." Pigsy, meanwhile, is yelling about how that's not true, his cheeks red out of embarrassment. "He knows he can just ask me! Doesn't he?" Pigsy asks, worry clear in his eyes. "To be fair... Would you take a break if asked, and not demanded?" M/n counters, his head tilting curiously.

"I-" Pigsy sighs and rubs his arm. "I suppose not." He finally admits quietly, looking away. M/n sighs softly and sets a gentle hand on Pigsy's shoulder. "We know how much you love this place, but taking a day off is good for you. You can relax and it helps with your mental health." He says, smiling. "Take the day off, have fun, go on a date with Tang. We'll be fine."

"You kids grew up too fast." Pigsy says, wiping at his eyes. "I wouldn't say that. We still need our Dadsy." M/n grins. Mk nods and gives Pigsy a hug before he gets excited about something he managed to do. M/n can't see or hear what Mk is hearing, but he doesn't have to with Mk saying, "Shrink myself?! How am I supposed to do that?" The silver simian chuckles softly and shakes his head as Tang comes in. "Hey, Dad." M/n says, giving a wave. "Mk and I are gonna be heading out so you and Dadsy can have some time together."

The silver simian drags Mk with him out of the shop and Mk is muttering about thinking little, as Wukong had told him. Which seems to work, because Mk poofs into a tiny version of himself, and worries M/n, since he falls through a manhole and right into the Spider Queen's lair. M/n rushes over to the entrance Spider Queen had shown him, and begins to look around for Mk, his ears perked for any sign of danger.

He eventually finds Mk, who's being chased by the Spider Queen. M/n grabs Mk as he runns by, pulling the older to his chest and whispering, "Shh. Just keep quiet." Spider Queen comes sliding around the corner, and pauses. "Finally you stopped running. You two need to get out of here." She says, keeping her voice low. M/n hears someone coming and nods, dragging Mk with him as he runs towards the exit Spider Queen had shown him before. Unfortunately, their exit is blocked by the the Bone Demon's vessel. "What are you doing down here?" Mk asks, confused.

"Mk, don't!" M/n says, his fur standing on end. The girl says, "Please, you need to help! The Spider Queen is building something evil." She then rushes off towards the way they came, and Mk moves to follow her. "Mk, please, don't listen to her." M/n says, grabbing Mk's arm. "But what if she's right?" Mk says, his brows furrowing. "Mk. She's the one building it. When I was down here before, I saw it. She's not some helpless little girl!" M/n says, sounding almost desperate.

Mk hesitates, before saying, "Then we can stop her. Here and now." M/n hesitantly follows Mk with a sigh, keeping close to his brother as they head in the same direction the girl went. "This is a bad decision." M/n mumbles, jumping at every little noise. When they get there, the girl says, "Here! You have to use your staff to destroy it!"

"Mk. Be careful." M/n says quietly. Mk gives a small smile to his younger brother and turns his attention to the Trigram Furnace, almost hitting it before stopping himself. "This is the Trigram Furnace!" Mk says, surprised. The girl chuckles, and M/n is suddenly held down with glowing blue chains. He struggles against them, yelling out, "Mk!" Mk moves to help his brother, but is stopped by the Lady Bone Demon, who makes the world around them seem like it's glitching and glowing blue.

"Mk!" M/n yells again, sparking now as his heartbeat drowns out whatever she's saying. The Lady Bone Demon grabs Mk by the throat, and M/n yells out, a burst of white electricity coming from him in a dome shape that shatters the Lady Bone Demon's chains and illusion. He rushes forward fasted than any of them can see and snarls as he shoves her away from Mk.

"The little simian is stronger than he seemed." LBD says, calm as can be. "You're not touching my brother." M/n growls lowly, the sound echoing like thunder on the horizon. M/n grabs Mk, who grabs the staff, and uses his speed to get them both the fuck out of there.

(I'm back! It's been too long, really. I kinda fell out of the fandom, but with the release of season 5, I am so fucking pumped.)
