Something was wrong.

My body felt strange—weak, unsteady. My limbs trembled, my vision blurred at the edges. A suffocating heaviness weighed me down, making it impossible to think clearly.

I needed to leave.

Clutching the door handle, I tried to steady myself, but my knees buckled. The world tilted. Before I could comprehend what was happening, the door swung open, and I fell.

Pain seared through me as my elbows struck the cold floor. A strangled cry escaped my lips. Through the curtain of my disheveled hair, I saw him—his gaze dark, his stance predatory.

Terror gripped me.

I pushed myself up, desperate to run, but my legs refused to cooperate. My hands fumbled against the smooth floor as I tried to crawl toward the exit, but his fingers wrapped around my ankle, yanking me back.

Another scream tore from my throat—useless, swallowed by the soundproof walls.

My heartbeat pounded in my ears, each beat a reminder that I was losing. My mind screamed at me to fight, to resist, but my strength was fading. My body refused to move the way I willed it to.

He loomed over me, his fingers tracing the bare skin of my arm. A shudder of revulsion coursed through me. I lashed out, scratching, hitting, anything to keep him away. But he was stronger. He pinned my wrists, his face inches from mine.

My voice cracked as I pleaded, my words slurred, my breath shallow. My vision blurred further, but I still saw the sick smile curling on his lips.

A sickening realization dawned—something was happening to me.

I fought harder, desperate to escape. I kicked him, my foot landing where it hurt the most. He stumbled back with a curse, giving me a sliver of a chance. I dragged myself toward the door, fingers trembling as I reached for the handle.

But before I could step out, a harsh pull sent me crashing onto the bed.

I gasped as my dress tore under his grip. Cold air hit my exposed skin.

This couldn’t be happening.

The belt tightened around my throat, cutting off my air. My fingers clawed at it, struggling for breath, for control. But his grip was relentless. The world around me spun, spots dancing in my vision.

Pain erupted through my body as he bit down, leaving marks that burned, that would never fade. Tears blurred my sight, but I refused to let them fall.

I wanted to scream, but the belt choked the sound before it could leave my throat. My right hand twisted at an unnatural angle, the pain sharp, unbearable.

This was it.

This was how it ended.

Every struggle, every breath, every shred of hope I clung to was slipping away.
